The initiative generation saw the rebuilding of the islands from a region that had been in the 200 range for almost all of 2006. The Islands numbered in at 284 nations at the very end of the year after being in the 240s that June.
Led by fresh nations from the AoN generation the Islands experienced a population boom bringing it to a height not seen in a few of the previous years.
Led by recruiting giants SINN and Enigmatic nations poured into the Islands.
By June (May?) the Islands had hit 400 again. In my opinion, this era reached it's peak on the last day of July. After a spectacular Immigration Battle the population of the islands hit 450 nations in the height of the summer slump while regions, and all of nationstates, were losing nations to inactivity. Team Twobagger beat team Enigmatic in an epic recruitment battle. Team Enigmatic had the recruiting giants of SINN and Enigmatic and together with the rest of their team were expected to win against Twobagger and a new nation Petalumadom and two other team members.
With SINN being forced to leave halfway though to go to Spain team Twobagger had a resurgence a thoroughly beat the other team but with both teams bringing is an impressive number of nations.
