The Recession Generation:
January 2006- September 2006
The Recession Generation is so named because during this time 10000 Islands experienced its first long period of decline since founding.
In terms of population, the region had a population of 379 at the start of the year. By September 2006, the region's population dropped to 205.
In terms of TITO activity, the region also experienced its worst. There were zero missions in Nov 05, Dec 05, Jan 06, Aug 06, Sep 06, and only one mission in Mar 06. During this time, the average number of missions was just 4.7 per month.
Nonetheless, there were some notable islanders who joined during this time, including:
This period essentially marked a turning point in 10000 Islanders. Former TOs such as Goldenloser and Hockeynutville were replaced by Jesioneka in Sep 06, and Anime Daisuki in Nov 06'. The Immigration Department was also re-organized by Sinn Feins Ireland and Jesioneka. It is during this time that taco awards for recruits as well as 'monthly team competitions' began. These changes in TITO and IMM set the stage for a revival in the following AoN Generation.
