New Tannenberg Ambassador arrives today at Kannex

JK: Good evening and welcome to Seongjang-Dol News At 5. I'm Jennifer Kalhus.
DU: I'm Dawid Unengi. Foreign Minister Jon Zomzalcon has received Ambassador Olivia von Bülow at the Hwaiteu-Geomuen airport. She is the new Tannenberg Republic Ambassador to Kannex, the second ambassador Kannex has received since His Majesty took over.

BL: Crowds cheer as the ambassador and her staff touched down on Kannexian soil, giving a warm reception to the foreign emissary. The new ambassador is being escorted the palace where she will be welcomed by the Prince and given a small ceremony, after that she will be given a tour of the Embassy Row and select the location of the new embassy. After that she is expected to attend a press conference and officially announce the Tannenberg diplomatic mission to Kannex.
DU: Any word from the Prince?
BL: The Prince is thrilled to have another ally and contact in the 10000 Islands region. He is eager to start relations with Tannenberg.

The Kannexian Prince, dressed in a German-styled military uniform with a royal cape, shakes the ambassador's hand and smiles. "Welcome to Kannex. I hope you enjoyed the tour of the Embassy Row. The Tannenberg government may send an architect to design the building and direct the construction. Traditionally, Kannex will be paying for half of the expenses." He clears his throat. "You may choose the location of the embassy, but I suggest it to be across from the Malecian Embassy. During the construction, your temporary residence may be at either the palace or a hotel. Is there anything else you'd like to cover?"

The Kannexian Prince nods to Verger. "Pleasure to meet you." He smiles weakly to Bulow. "I suppose Kannex can act as the go-between." He quickly drops the subject. "Very well. This is the address to the Grand Kannex Hotel." A servant presents the address written in fancy lettering. "As for the embassy, would you like any specific design or architect to work on it?"

The Kannexian Prince nods again and gestures for his servants to call the architect he had in mind.

The next day, construction on the embassy begins. Jaami di Panyu is appointed the architect of the building. The Tannenberg embassy is a Gothic-styled mansion made of stone and glass. The building is protected by security guards and a gate. A small parking lot is next to the embassy. Outside, the Tannenberg flag stands next to German-styled fountains and gardens.

The Kannexian Minister of External Affairs revises the treaty proposal, and adds other terms to the treaty. The New Tannenberg - Kannex Treaty of Friendship is made into a ten year agreement.

"~ Kannex wishes to develop and modernize its armed forces, much of which remain outdated. This process can be accelerated with Tannenberg military training and technology.

~ Kannex wants to obtain a stable, consistent and affordable level of fuel shipments, especially petroleum. This goal can be better met with purchases and delivery of Tannenberg oil.

~ Kannex wishes to create several Tannenberg-Kannexian high schools and military schools. It also wants many if its young men to be educated in the language of Tannenberg and the military science of the Tannenberg Army.

~ Kannex wishes to open a Tannenberg-Kannex international space station and advance into space.

~ Kannex wishes to create a trade bloc with the Tannenberg nation and abolish all trade tariffs on all industries unless if otherwise agreed upon."

As for the secret protocol involving the 300 million Venmarks worth of raw materials, it is been declined. Jon Zomzalcon messages the ambassador, saying "We are already developing a way to create cheaper nuclear weapons and technology."

The Kannexian Prince chooses the capital of Eunsaek Island to be the location for the signing ceremony. Copies of the treaty are published in English, Chinese, German, and Kannexian.
13 Royals personnel quickly arrive in Eunsaek to prepare the area for the ceremony.

The Kannexian Prince's airplane arrives around the same time. The next day, the Kannexian Prince and President Lisa Mendez sign the New Tannenberg-Kannex Treaty of Friendship as cameras flash. The treaty is signed "Rajeiia Enylch, the Rightful Prince of Kannex", "Jon Zomzalcon, the Kannexian Minister of External Affairs", and "Marik Lucikannex, Kannexian Minister of Commerce". The Kannexian witnesses are Salaam Arkwmanus (Kannexian National Space Agency Administrator) and Rokhano Pericson (one of the two consuls of the Kannexian Congress).

As for Otto Von Koenig, Jon Zomzalcon remarks the former general renounced his Tannenberg citizenship when he left for Kannex. Therefore, he must obtain Tannenberg citizenship before he can run in the elections.

Offended by the sudden termination, many in the Kannexian government are mobilizing the army for war. The Kannexian Prince orders his government not to take any aggressive action yet.
Rahim Twynfiskaz messages the National Assembly, asking the reasons for vetoing the treaty and removing Mendez from power.

Kannex agrees and suspends the treaty between the two nations. Trade and travel to Tannenberg is prohibited, but refugees from Tannenberg, if any, will be accepted.

Kannex is grateful for this action and would like to put the Treaty back into effect. Kannex would like to know if there is any particular reason for the isolation, and also wants to ask if there is anything on the treaty unfavorable to Tannenberg as the National Assembly previously said.

We of Kannex hope Tannenberg is able to befriend Malecia and that we will create a triple alliance of Kannex, Tannenberg, and Malecia.

Kannex would like Tannenberg to explain this better. We are not sure if the Tannenberg's National Assembly has read any part of the treaty. The government headed by Lisa Mendez desired to add a "secret protocol" which involved a deal unfavorable to KANNEX, not Tannenberg.

Kannex submits a draft of the new treaty to Tannenberg. The terms are:

"~ Kannex wants to obtain a stable, consistent and affordable level of fuel shipments, especially petroleum. This goal can be better met with the lowering of trade tariffs of Tannenberg oil.

~ Kannex wishes to create several Tannenberg-Kannexian high schools and military schools. It also wants many if its young men to be educated in the language of Tannenberg and the military science of the Tannenberg Army.

~ Kannex wishes to create a trade bloc with the Tannenberg nation and lower all trade tariffs on all industries unless if otherwise agreed upon.

* Tannenberg wants to find sources of employment for its skilled workforce in Kannex.

*Tannenberg wants to sell its military technology and expertise (with the exception of any nuclear weaponry) to Kannex.

*Tannenberg wants to sell its large energy reserves of petroleum and natural gas to Kannex."

This is basically a newer version of the previous treaty with some terms removed or changed.

Treaty of Friendly Cooperation Between the Principality of Kannex and the Republic of Greater New Tannenberg
