Union Fighters War Game Simulation

The Capitol
Knight Captain Harold Gene gives Teresa Sammon a crisp fist-to-shoulder salute followed by a hard openhanded slap against her shoulder.
"Strength to you, Teresa Sammon. I am Knight Commander Harold Gene from Belriel. I have come to defend you; your country and your person. I also come to seek your counsel on this enemy; the Union Fighters are unknown to my lands.
" Tell me where their heart beats."

Meanwhile
A Belrielian soldier named Knight Captain Luc Fisher meets with the marines that disarmed the toy-bomb, inspecting the explosives to try to find a source of distribution.

The Barricade
The group of 12 reaches the far side of the barricade wall and vault over, just as the first smoke grenades pop. They take a loose box formation, protecting their medic and charge ahead with precise bursts of fire, clearing the way ahead of them. Until they reach the injured soldier.
They form a defensive star as the medic begins tending to the wounded. They feel at home in the camouflage of the smoke.

Meanwhile, the greater portion of the combat group has been moving to shrink the size of the open area by forming a large wedge.

The Diplomatic Area:
The Union Fighters abroad are disabled. Upon seeing the EMP blasts, the man curses and goes to transmit again, this time to a nearby country, hoping that they would provoke an international incident.

Barricade:
Two men leap up over the wall, and begin to stealthily move towards the armory.

The Blue House:
Teresa Sammon winces as the man hits her shoulder. "Well," She says. "It's simple, really: THe Union Fighters' man goal is to united Archaeologia with Mutanatia. So far, they have failed in their efforts. This attempt is a particularly brazen one, though."

The Capitol:
The bomb appears to be made of a c4 weapons-grade explosive.

Barricade:
One of the men passes too close to Basara-his pistol is firing before he can clearly see the man. All he knows is, the guy is going towards the military area instead of the barricade. He immediately yells around to keep an eye out for anybody else who might have hopped the barricade.

Diplomatic Area: The EMP blast is shot off into Archaeologia and hits near the capitol building. In fact, it may very well have HIT the capitol building. The man sneers and heads outside, hoping that he wouldn't be shot. Even if he was, the mission was accomplished; the capitol, or at least very close to the capitol of Archaeolgia, was disabled. He would be greeted as a hero by his comrades.

Barricade:
The last man is disabled. The man who was hit in the head is knocked out, and the other man is woozy, but nonetheless continues--

That is, until his foot gets shattered from the bullet that was fired at him.

The barricade might not hold much longer. A battering ram/explosive is being prepared on the other side of the barricade.

The Barricade
SC Gutteridge surveys the area before the barricade, waiting for momentary lapses in the billowing smoke. Just short of the barricade wall he spots two UF insurgents constructing an unidentified device. Two loud cracks rip the air around him as he releases supersonic shells from his rifle into the two men, separating their heads from their bodies.

Just then, an allied radio transmission crackles to life, bringing Gutteridge's attention back from the peace of his rifle's scope.

"Be advised, large friendly force on the ground-I repeat, large friendly force on the ground. Falling back to barricade wall, coordinates..." and he rattles off the coordinates of the barricade.

The SC reaches down to his squad radio and transmits:
"Knights--at arms--fall back to the barricade!"

The Capitol
Knight Commander Harold Gene considers Ms. Sammon's words. "They want to unite two nations--I assume they believe there is a reason? What are their ideals, besides unification? Are they citizens of Mutanatia and Archeologia or are they outsiders--both?"

Just then a Belriel soldier walks in and salutes, his fist crisply striking over his heart.

"Yes, Lieutenant Ziegler?"

"Sorry to interrupt sir," another crisp salute, "the explosive was found to be weapons grade c4--definitely not home made."

"Take a squad, find their suppliers. Cut them off."

"Yes sir!"

The Knight Commander turns back to Ms. Sammon. "Weapons grade c4, they are well armed. Now, before I have my men getting blown up by something else I don't expect--what else can you tell me about the Union Fighters?"

ooc: His rank is Knight Commander even though I messed up in my previous post featuring him (Harold Gene). Knight Captain is one step down.

Diplomatic Area
The unit, somewhat disturbed by the discharge of unknown but recognizably powerful weapons, has sent Knight Captain Richard Kensley to meet with the USSC forces.

The Barricade:
A Giant Mantis approaches both the men. "Umm..." She telepathically communicates to them. This was Mantitia. She was not the brightest mantis in the nest. "Can't we just capture them and find out information from them. Anyways, we're awaiting your next order....sir. OUr troops can hold the barricade if you tell us what to do..."

(OOC: Time for some comedic relief :-p)

The Capitol:
Teresa Sammon sighed a bit. "Listen, and this is TOP SECRET information, to be repeated to NO ONE, especially not your troops. Originally, they were based in Archaeologia, and Heinz Grumel was in charge of them. They were to be a tool to be used against us in the Unjustifiable War. But when the war was over, Heinz tried to get rid of them, and summarily...he couldn't. The end result was that they turned on him. THat's where they got their materials from. Basically, they want to unite us, take over our governments, and be left with one giant country. If they were to do that, they would have created a safe haven from which their, erm, 'operations' could take place and wreak havoc on the rest of the region."

The Diplomatic Area:
The man curses and resists any attmept to extract information from him, or at least tries to. That is, until a note with battle plans is dropped from his pocket. It appears as though they are going to be attacking from east next, but before you can read how, the man takes the plans and rips them to pieces.

(Sorry for delayed posting-haven't had stable web access lately.)
Barricade:
Basara's response was simple. "I'd love to capture them, if they'd surrender. Meantime, shoot anything that isn't us!" He peeked over the sandbag wall, firing a few shots at approaching UF fighters. The barricade was dangerously close to being overrun-however, the worst seemed to be over. Barring a further, intense push from the UF forces, these reinforcements made it seem as if the barricade might yet hold.
