Recent Events:

• The North Pacific Directorate was created to bring stability, following a series of Ministers who had been elected, but failed to provide the commitment to carry out the role of their job.
  
  
• The North Pacific Directorate appointed the following Ministers:

  Minister of Domestic Tranquility: Insane Power

• Ahimsan Carthage Has been appointed Director of the Ministry of Truth, to set up TNP's press operations, through the Goebbels Gazette.
  
  
  
• The "Regional Assembly" has been created to allow democracy to be installed thoughout TNP. The North Pacific Directorate are encouraging players to join the Senate, whom will represent all the nations of TNP and allow even the quietest voice to be heard.
  
  
  
• Ooc: We welcome everyone to visit some of the best pubs and clubs in NS the "Exclamation Club!!" recently opened to add to the best night life, which already included the "Hot Spot" and the infamous "Nags Head"

Announcement from the Minister of the NPD

These are the concessions we attempted to make to the terrorist group known as the underground:

Item 1: Inclusion of the underground in the Regional Assembly. I offered to have both North Pacific Directorate and underground representatives make up the Regional Assembly. I further stated that the Regional Assembly would be transformed into the ultimate lawmaking authority in The North Pacific and that it would have the opportunity to create a Regional Constitution to work alongside, or even replace, The Codex.

Item 2: Creation of the Constitution. As stated above, the Regional Assembly would be charged with creating a Regional Constitution. I also suggested that the constitution lay the framework for Delegate elections in our region.

Both items above were offered freely and discussed at length but ultimately the bottom line is the underground is unwilling to concede even a small part in order to gain the greater good for our region. After being issued an ultimatum from the terrorists I even offered more substantial concessions on the part of the North Pacific Directorate:

Item 3: The Regional Assembly should have ultimate authority over the foreign policy of The North Pacific. The Regional Assembly should also have ultimate authority on citizenship requirements and the like.

Item 4: The veto power held by The Minister, via The Codex, will be limited in scope and set procedures for overriding said veto can be install by the Regional Assembly.

Again, these were offered freely to the terrorists in hopes that a peace can be secured for our people.

From the onset, the terrorist group known as the underground has been bent on seeing that these talks fail. From the failure to stick to the confidentiality clause by observers (a notable contributor to the underground posted my first statement verbatim on their alternate TNP chatroom) to the plans to shuffle representatives in order to “keep us on our toes” to the increasing personal attacks on the RL players behind my nations and others, the underground has shown that they can not be trusted. They can not be reasoned with. Together, we, the Peoples of The North Pacific, will move forward. We will place these criminals on trial for their crimes against the state and the citizenry and we will rid ourselves of them through legal means.

A divided region is a conquered region! The infighting that proceeded the North Pacific Directorate was a breeding ground for outside groups to establish a stranglehold on our region and exert control. This control has now been lost to them and their small band of terrorists that still reside in our region. They continue to fight, but we see the dawn. We see the day that the terrorism stops and the underground realizes that they can work with us instead of against us. We see the day that the underground realizes that The North Pacific can and will be independent of outside control. We will not go forward on our knees giving praise to an outside organization that wishes nothing better for our nations than to boost their own citizenry. We will now stand up and cast out those that are opposed to our independence.

Effective immediately, due to the facts listed above and the increased threat of invasion from outside groups, according to the laws of our region and The Codex, I, The Minister, am reinstating the endorsement cap of 50% of the Delegate nation's endorsements. Any nation that wishes to post a public statement on the official regional forum (found in The North Pacific World Factbook Entry) in support of The North Pacific and the North Pacific Directorate vowing never to wage war or conduct terrorist activities within our region can be exempt from the endorsement cap.

We have been patient, we have even been kind, those that have been taking advantage of this shall do so no more.

1. The 'terrorists' are actually the natives who want their region back.
2. The ADN has no interest in anything bar this region's freedom.
3. Moldavi has no right to this delegacy. Neither does Cathyy for that matter for her actions.
4. If you want an independent TNP- hold a delegate election, let the people decide!

I don't know what my Founder is going to say, but this is my opinion, an edited version of a column in the Meritocratic Times:

In my opinion Cathyy, in her guise as Pixiedance, took this game far, far too seriously. She should have ignored the personal attacks. She certainly should not, as has been reported, go for 70 hours without sleep.
Since she has now been positively identified as working for the North Pacific Directorate, any sympathy I had for her has disappeared.

For Moldavi, former Senator of the Meritocracy, indeed former Deputy Tribune, I have nothing but contempt for his IC character. He is reportedly a nice character in real-life. I can only judge by his in game actions and they, quite frankly disgust me. He has turned one of the finest regions in the game into a dictatorship, just because he enjoys it.

I think that the NPD logo, a dragon eating its tail, is appropriate. Moldavi’s actions will and have destroyed his reputation, as well as that of the region of New Sparrow, supplier of two members of this junta.
But these are words. We need action. We need an unendorsement campaign. Every hour of every day, we need to let the 645 nations that have endorsed Moldavi/Pixiedance know the truth.

• Moldavi/ The Minister installed a New Government called the North Pacific Directorate (NPD). Here is his Message to the region...
  
  
• NPD installed the Codex/Judicial Laws in place of the old constitution. These are the points of the codex which violate the rights of The North Pacific Citizens.

The NPD put on trial various members of the North Pacific Underground, including myself. The trial went ahead despite various procedural anomalies.* But that was OK; we were told that the procedures were only guidelines anyway.

In the end most of us who were accused were unwilling or unable to enter a plea, so I presume we were found guilty. I say "presume" because the only way I can officially find out my sentence is to log in to the NPD forum; and part of the "punishment" seems to be to ban me from the forum.



Never mind, this is among the first batch of trials the NPD have conducted. I am sure they will get more competent as they go along.

She saysshe was, no one can prove it. She might of been at the top, but shee wanted more. To me I think this was a planned out. She has been planning this for awhile now. I don't trust her. She is power hungry and dosen't want to look like a dictator. I say trust only The North Pacific Underground.
