Rules developed for RP, by RPers.
The RP Forums are currently being moderated by Boltor.
General Forum rules
General Forum rules are IN EFFECT for the RPing forum. Examples of these rules include, but are not limited to:
No flaming
No griefing, etc
Military exercises near a neighboring country, nor a diplomatic insult (depending on the language used, of course), are not necessarily considered a flame or a grief.
God-modding and auto-hitting
God-modding and auto-hitting are NOT permitted in the RP section.
God-modding is defined as:
According to Kannex:
That is to say, any sending of EXCESSIVE amount of troops overseas is considered a god mod.
Auto-hitting is defined as:
To create the alternative, leave the attack “open”; that is to say, make it like this:
The Mutants of Mutanatia readied their missiles and fired towards their opponent.
Note how the result is NOT given.
Military
As per Kannex:
Countries with less than 25 million people (as per your nationstates nation) should have no more that 300,000 active troops during peacetime. Countries with 25-75 million people should have no more than 500,000 active troops during peacetime. Countries with 400-900 million people should have no more that 1 million troops during peace time. As for countries with 900 million and beyond, the number of active troops during peacetime shall not exceed 3 million.
WAR TIME;
Again, as per Kannex:
Nations with 5-500 million people cannot have more that 6 million active troops during desperate war time. Countries over 500 million can have up to 11 million troops during desperate war time.
The shop
Many Islands can purchase “military stuff” in the shop. The shop is heretofore NOT allowed to be used in the RP.
Mind Control and Telepathy
Mind Control and Telepathy is NOT allowed
Nuclear Weapons
Nuclear Weapons, as per the conference thread on nuclear weapons, are not allowed UNLESS okayed by a moderator. At this time, the current Moderator is Boltor.
No-choice Nuking
No-choice nuking is defined as when:
The Government nukes their own nation to try and hold up the enemy force.
This is NOT allowed.
Inter-regional Wars
In the event of an inter-regional war, there must be a go-between in order to set the terms and limits of an inter-regional war.
Moderator Powers
Moderators/Judges have the power to end a war when the outcome is obvious. Additionally, moderators may be petitioned to end a war and establish peacetime.
Excessive OOCing
When Out of Character (OOC) becomes excessive, a moderator will jump in and ask that the OOC be moved either to PMs or taken into a thread (if more than one person is involved). If no action is taken, the moderator will insist, and even be helpful enough to create the thread for you. ☺ If the problem STILL persists, the thread will be CLOSED and participants will be asked to resolve OOC issues before continuing.
Please Note: Excessive OOC is defined as a minimum of 8 posts of pure OOC. An OOC/IC post does not count towards the count.

For instance, biological weapons are banned via a WA resolution. It is up to the other players in an RP as to whether they wish to enforce it or not.
ADDITIONALLY, a player may mention in his first post that WA resolutions are in effect for the THREAD and anyone participating (including his or herself) must adhere to the Resolutions or be subject to IC measures.

Making oneself all-powerful in role-playing through any actions, series of actions, or traits that are so unrealistic it is impossible in real life. Examples of this include but are NOT limited to:
Nuking an ENTIRE country when given permission by mods to do so. Even nuking an uninhabited site would still be considered to be god-modding as it would be a waste of money and hence, unrealisti.
Taking control of someone else's character/army
Using a weapon that vaporizes an entire country.
Using a single soldier to wipe out an entire battalion of troops—and he doesn't even get hit! (Realistically speaking, he would be dead after the first 10 or so shots.
Using a space-age weapon in a modern-day RP
Using a modern-day weapon in a medieval RP
Creating an invincible unit, be it a soldier or otherwise (this includes force fields...unless in a futuristic RP of course
