Council of Nine Resolution NS155-1 - Rules for Requesting Embassies
The following rules are the minimum rules required for the 10000 Islands to accept a new Embassy.
Region must have been in existence for 6 months.
Show a viable community of active members.
Upon reaching these minimum requirements a post should be made in the embassy request thread. After the application has been reviewed by the Delegate of the 10000 Islands it will be presented to the Council of Nine for vote. The requesting region will be informed of the Council's decision by the Delegate of the 10000 Islands.
Periodically the region will be checked by the 10000 Islands Emissary to see if it continues to function as a viable community. If the requirement is no longer met it will be reported to the current serving Delegate. The Council may elect to close the Embassy for this reason.
The Council reserves the right to waive these rules for individual regions that they believe warrant special consideration.

The Council of Nine may consider an embassy for closure if it fulfils two of the following criteria:
- The region's population has fallen below 30 nations for a period of 2 months - The region has no functional forum or the forum has been unused for one month - The region has no World Assembly Delegate
The 10000 Islands World Assembly Delegate will contact the region in question to make them aware of the discussion surrounding the embassy closure and the region will have one week to respond before the closure proceedings begin.
Regions with historical embassy status are exempt from the above criteria.
These criteria are to be used as a guideline only. The Council may still close embassies that do not meet these criteria and keep open embassies that do, at their prerogative.
