Betty Parris has fallen deadly asleep and cannot be awoken, after her father, Reverend Parris, found her and others dancing naked in the woods. Names begin to fly out for personal and political reasons and a storm has fallen over Salem.
Parris calls a town meeting and rumors of witchcraft spread. Deputy Governor Danforth is called in to preside over trials to find witches in Salem. Four begin accusing others of being seen with the anti-Christ and having signed his book.
The Accusers shall have purged Salem of their rivals if the Hunter is dead and their numbers are equal to those of the Villagers. The Hunter shall have a permanent and serene ministry in Salem if one Accuser is dead and only two other Villagers remain. The Villagers will win if all of the Bad Roles die.
Calling forth to the Court:
BAD ROLES:
4 Accusers: Mary Warren, Abigail Williams, Tituba, and Betty Parris.
* The Accusers are the werewolf roles. They shall collectively pick one to accuse each night and the accused will be hung.
1 Reverend Parris
* Reverend Parris is never afflicted yet still holds momentous power and authority in the village. He is permitted two bullets in the game and must use them with care. If Betty Parris dies he gains one extra bullet. Unless messaged Deputy Governor Danforth will assume they are not acting in the night phase.
GOOD ROLES:
3 Defenders: John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor, Giles Corey
* Each choose one to defend each night.
* Can defend themselves.
* John Proctor and Elizabeth Proctor know each other’s identity and can plan together, but Giles Corey is isolated.
* If both Reverend Parris and the Accusers target the same person it will take two defenses to stop them from killing that person.
1 Seer: Reverend Hale
* Can choose one person each night to search and the game master will reveal their role.
1 Elder: Cryptic Old Lady
* Elder has two lives, though if lynched during a day phase their identity becomes known. (e.g. Elder gets lynched during Day Phase. They don’t die but their identity is revealed and they lose one life)
* Elder knows identities of all Defenders and the Seer.
* If Elder dies then Defenders and the Seer lose all of their powers.
Villagers:
* Vote in day phases, nothing in night phases.
* Every 48 hours one person is lynched by the mob.
You will confess or you will hang
Good luck.
