WW 34: Back to the Basics – With a Twist
Theme: Many of the residents of a quiet little village in the mountains had long thought they were completely safe from the werewolves. After all, it had been nearly 3 years (since WW4) that they had heard or seen them. However, one day they heard them again and were fearful. The sounds kept getting closer and closer. Then, just as they thought that the wolves had moved on, they woke up to screams in the middle of the night, and found a cloaked assassin (Lead Wolf) hovering over the dead body of a girl. As he ran off, he shouted back at them “You can be next, and do not forget – I am not alone!” The villagers quickly rounded up a council of the wisest and strongest men they knew (the good power roles) and asked them to do whatever it took to rid the village of the wolves, hoping that they would once again triumph and rid the village of these beasts.
Players:
Good Guys
1 Elder
1 Seer
2 Defenders
Villagers
Bad Guys
1 Assassin (Lead Wolf)
2 Wolves
RULES:
1. All day phases last 48 hours, all night phases last 24 hours based on forum time. Day or Night phases may end early if all votes are cast (day) or all PMs sent in (night).
2. The only time you are allowed to vote “No Lynch” during the day phase is on Day 1. Starting on Day 2, a No Lynch vote will be considered the same as not voting. In other words, if you vote No Lynch 2 days in a row, it will be considered as if you didn’t vote at all and you will be killed for inactivity the following night (if you vote No Lynch on Days 2 and 3, you will die, or any other 2 consecutive day phases after that).
3. The Villagers will win if all 3 Wolves are dead. The Wolves will win if all good power roles are dead and the amount of Wolves is equal to or exceeds the amount of Villagers.
4. Dead players are allowed to post during the night phase only. However, you must start off your post with the following- (DEAD) –showing people that you are a dead player in order to avoid confusion as to who is left standing. Also, when you post as a dead player, you must not discuss any strategies/clues/etc. Your subject/topic must be commentary (ex. Wow, didn’t see that one coming, I wonder what’s next!) or just simply messing around (Well, that’s sure interesting lol).
5. Good Power Roles
-Seer Is allowed to scan 1 person per night. If the person scanned is a Villager, the Seer can PM the GM asking to add the Villager to the Seer/Defender/Elder PM thread in order to build up the “Seer’s army”.
-Elder Can scan or defend one person per night. He has 2 lives, if he loses his first life at night he will not know it (no PM) and it will just show up as a no-kill on that night's summary. If he gets killed during the day phase, his role will be revealed to everybody, and he'll still have his 2nd life (assuming that wasn't taken during a previous night phase). If he dies, all good power roles lose their power for the rest of the game.
-Defenders Can defend 1 person each per night. Each defender, individually, can’t defend the same person 2 nights in a row.
6. Bad Power Roles
-Assassin Can choose to kill one person per night. If the person they pick is defended, it will show up as a no-kill. The Assassin does not know who the other wolves are, if he attempts to kill them, it will show up as a no-kill.
-2 Wolves Both wolves (as a group) pick one person each night to attempt to kill. If the person they pick is defended, it will show up as a no-kill.
7. Both defenders know each other at the start of the game. Both wolves know each other at the start of the game. All other power roles are isolated. Villagers – well, good luck!
8. The Assassin is allowed to make 1 kill per night, while the 2 wolves (as a group) make another 1 kill per night (in other words, 2 kills per night). The Assassin does not know who the wolves are - but of course can't kill them (it would just show up as a no-kill).
9. Also, unlike WW33, no scans/defends are useless. Even if it shows up as a "no-kill night", all scans/defends are 100% valid.
