Introducing:
WEREWOLF ULTIMATE: ONE NIGHT STAND
This is a card version of Werewolf I recently found, and I was wary to play it because last card version that was not vanilla turned out to be an Euro game...and I find those boring. But my friend convinced me to play this, and I figured out it's so fun because the little amount of secrecy and the huge amount of deduction there is around.
The only problem is that the game is LIMITED TO 13 PLAYERS. I'm sure I can figure out a way to increase this limit, but it's equilibrium is very delicate, so i don't know if I should do it. The game can even be played from 4 players, but I find that if you don't reach a decent number it can be boring.
The game plays with these roles:
1 Actor
2 Werewolves
2 Masons
1 Minion
1 Seer
1 Robber
1 Troublemaker
1 Insomniac
1 Hunter
2 Villagers
And that's it. You may think this game is too similar to WW; but the point is that is really played over a single reasoning, meaning once the vote is out, the game is over...and boy that's not even the MAJOR change.
Indeed, after everyone knew his role, at the beginning of the game it's night phase, and this happens in this order.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW, EVERYTHING HAPPENS AT THE POINT INDICATED ON THE LIST, MEANING WHEN YOU GET TO KNOW SOMETHING, YOU GET TO KNOW IT AT THE POINT THE LIST SPECIFIES YOU ARE, NOT AFTER.
It's a little hard to follow, but pretty much the deal is that A LOT of roles get switched around, and then a single phase game commences...meaning there are no consequences!
Yes, the Seer can come out and say who he scouted, the Minion can shout random names, even the switcher can say the switch they made...or are they lying? The fun is that the game becomes deductive on figuring out how the night went, what actually happened like you all got a big hangover and you are figuring out who stole the socks. But remember, roles have been passed upon without people knowing! Imagine if the robber has stole a Werewolf role, now there is a good guy playing with the bad guy, and meanwhile the robber may be framed by his new friends! That is just an example on how crazy the game can be!
The other funny thing are the winning conditions:
Good side SURVIVORS wins as long as a Werewolf dies. Yes, you need to find only one of the two!
Bad side wins as long as a PURE Werewolf is not lynched.
So get this: the Actor is a good role! It means if he picks a werewolf, he wins with the Bad side, loses if a werewolf is lynched...but if he's lynched, even as a werewolf, the REMAINING Bad Side wins!
Also, the Minion wins with the bad side, and yes, this means if the actor who picked Werewolf is lynched, the Minion wins!!!
Ties are NOT broken: if 2 or more people have the same vote, they BOTH die. Also, if you ARE the Hunter and you died, whoever you voted dies too regardless of the number of votes! This happens when the role is revealed at your death, so you may have been switched and suddenly your random vote becomes a WMD directed on whoever you hated the most! Surprise!
But the funny thing is to check all roles after the end of the game: Imagine, you started as the Seer, spotted a wolf, you massacre yourself to convince the others you are telling the truth about that, you point out the culprit; they lynch him, is a Wolf! YES! Check the card...NO! You had become a Wolf too during the night! YOU LOSE!
And when that happens, believe me, we laughed for hours (needless to say, that was a personal example... ).
The best thing about this game is the speed of it: in Real time, we managed to do 4 games in 1 hour, when normally we manage to do only 1 game in 90 minutes with more that 10 people playing Werewolves. Putting a 48h timer on the forum time, you can play 4 mini-games in a week, or even 2 consecutive ones with some speed!!!

IMPORTANT TO KNOW, EVERYTHING HAPPENS AT THE POINT INDICATED ON THE LIST, MEANING WHEN YOU GET TO KNOW SOMETHING, YOU GET TO KNOW IT AT THE POINT THE LIST SPECIFIES YOU ARE, NOT AFTER.
- The Actor ask to know someone else's role. That becomes his role for the rest of the game, adding a new one in it.
- The Werewolves get to know each other. If the Actor has become a werewolf, he's treated like a third werewolf.
- The Masons get to know each other. If the Actor has become a mason, he's treated like a third mason.
- The Minion get's to know who the Werewolves are. If the Actor has become a werewolf, he's treated like a third werewolf, but it will not reveal he's also the actor.
- The Seer can know someone else's role. If he pics the Actor he will just know this, not the role the Actor has become.
- The Actor will do any power his new role gives him the possibility to do, except the Insomniac. In that case, he will do nothing.
- The one that BELIEVES is the Robber choose a player, and steals his role. The player chosen becomes the role the Robber had WITHOUT KNOWING IT, while the original one can know the role he stole. If he steals the Actor, he has to play as a normal Villager.
- The one that BELIEVES is the Troublemaker chooses two players, and those roles gets switched without them knowing!
- The one that BELIEVES is the Insomniac will be able to look at his role again to see what he has become. He will not activate said role, and if it's the Actor he will play as a normal Villager. If the Actor picked the Insominac at the beginning, he will be able to see that role too.
- The Day phase commences.

So, here is the whole rules in case you didn't read in the game discussion section!
Seeing as Red Croatia's game is going more than the half way with the villagers not getting a wolf by now, I want to start open this. NO, this will not mess with the natural order of the classic game, as this is very quickly, a game that is indeed 48 hours long...but this as long as everyone is quick to answer since it's a forum version. If we could be a lot of people in a chat, we would be able to play this in a jiff. Multiple times. With much laughter.
Also, This is both the APP and the GAME post in case you are interested. First 13 are gonna be the players, we are gonna start even with less, but some roles are gonna be removed:
12 Players: Minion goes.
11 - 10 Players: Masons goes. In case of 11 players, a villager is added.
9 Players: Hunter goes.
8 Players: Actor goes.
7 Players: Insominac goes.
6 Players: 1 Villager goes.
I decided 6 is the minimum to start. This will stay open for 48h or until 13 spots are in.
PLAYERS
Tierra de Madre
Randomain
Ater Nox
Ayunli
Benevolent Thomas
Barry
Witchcraft and Sorcery
6 spots left
