Here's how to start a business in XKI under our new rules:
1. Think of a money-making idea! It can be involve investing (using shop items/stock, etc.), payment for services (creating images, offering help in politics or RP, etc.), or any other idea that comes to you to make money fairly.
2. You or a co-founder should fill out the following form and post it in a new thread in this board:

{NS 271-2: The New Business Creation and Regional Reserve Regulations Act}

1. To start a business, the founder or one of the founders must complete and post their copy of the publicly posted business application form, within the Regional Regional Reserve Offices.
A. It shall be the responsibility of the Regional Reserve Chairperson to create and publish the business application form, with the following considerations - that it should:
(a) be easy to fill out,
(b) ask only information necessary to understanding the business and its function,
(c) determine the nature of support the business requires in the form of subsidies, sub-boards, and other structural support,
(c) determine compliance with all laws of 10000 Islands regarding the operations of business.
B. Charities and other such special organizations should fill out incorporation papers to the best of their ability, with unique issues being dealt with on a case-by-case basis, as determined by the Regional Reserve and the Chief Executive.
2. After posting, the business may begin operation immediately. If the business has requested a sub-board,subsidy funds or other Regional Reserve assistance, they may begin operation immediately without these if they wish. The Regional Reserve shall work with the business to address these requests. within a prompt manner.
A. It shall be the responsibility of the Regional Reserve to relay all requests for sub-boards to the Chief Executive.within 14 days of the request being made. The Chief Executive has final say over the creation or rearrangement of forum boards and sub-boards.
B. It shall be the responsibility of the Regional Reserve to make determinations on subsidies, and to respond to each business about the determination of each request for subsidies, within 14 days of the request being made; and additionally report to the Chief Executive the status of all businesses requesting subsidies including the determination made.
C. If the business' primary function of work lies within the jurisdiction of a Council member's functions, it shall be the responsibility of the Regional Reserve to seek consolation in the decision-making process for any requested subsidies from affected Council member.
D. Once a determination has been made, it shall be the responsibility of the Regional Reserve Chair to post any agreements or determinations in the public business thread, unless by request of the Chief Executive or the Council of Nine that it be held.
3. It shall be within the power of the Regional Reserve to formulate and publish guidelines on available subsidies, loans, or other financial programs from the Reserve along with their respective amounts, procedures, and requirements, in accordance with this act, and the laws of 10000 Islands.
4. The Council of Nine, Chief Executive, and the Regional Reserve each reserve the right to close, fine, or otherwise punish a business or its owner(s) for fraud or otherwise acting in a way contrary to the Constitution and Laws of 10000 Islands.
5. After proper consultation, outreach, and investigation, the Council of Nine, the Chief Executive, and the Regional Reserve each reserve the right to declare an irreparably inactive company out of business and take whatever subsequent measures they deem necessary, including but not limited to archiving sub-boards and disbursing funds.
6. Businesses which were formed prior to these amendments shall be subject to the new regulations, unless by agreement of the Council of Nine.
7. The Council of Nine, and the Chief Executive may at any time require that any published guidelines, regulations, programs, or forms be modified to comply with any applicable laws of 10000 Islands.
A. At any time any business subject to an agreement made with the Regional Reserve, may request a review of, and potential modifications be made to those agreements, from the Council of Nine who shall endeavor to ensure that all such agreements are compliant with all applicable regulations and Laws of 10000 Islands.
B. The Council of Nine shall have the power to cancel an agreement made with the Regional Reserve, if the Council finds that the agreement was not in accord with the letter and/or the spirit of 10000 Islands laws and/or Regional Reserve guidelines and regulations, or if the agreement is contrary to the well-being of the Reserve and the 10000 Islands economy.
8. This act repeals and replaces NS206-1.
