Werewolf 40:
The Mask of Anubis
FROM: Barry
Greetings from The XKI Casino! The Host of WW40, Ducky, has given me permission to offer wagering by its players upon the outcome of the game. Permitting bets on WW games has been discussed on and off for a long time in 10000 Islands. So consider this a bit of an experiment.
Here’s how it goes. In WW there are three teams: Villagers, Wolves, and Assassin. You will be given your role on one of those teams by Ducky. In this thread you may make one, 500 Taco wager that your team will win. That is the only bet you may make, so it doesn’t matter that you don’t know your specific role yet – you’ll be betting on whatever team you’re eventually on.
Then, if your team ultimately prevails in WW40, you will split the pool of all wagers made on the game, or win 1,000 Tacos, whichever is higher, with your fellow team winners. It does not matter whether or not you personally survived to the end without getting lynched or killed…… If your team wins, you win…period.
It’s that simple. To wager just send a donation to the XKI Casino for 500 Tacos and say something like:
“I’ll bet on my team. I’ve sent XKI Casino 500 Tacos.”
It’s that simple. Again, just post in this thread you want in, send the XKI Casino 500 Tacos, and you’re in. Then just wait to the end of WW40 to see if your team won….I will most likely keep this wagering thread open for 24 hours after Ducky has closed the game sign-ups, in order to give late-comers time to make wagers.
One important final note. While open to those playing WW, you should recognize that mistakes will be made by WW players and this will affect you. These bets are intended to be a way to make games more enjoyable. So if it doesn’t make it more enjoyable for you, please refrain from participating.
Well, that’s it. I hope several of you will join in this little experiment. If it goes well, I think it could add some enjoyment for many to WW games. If not, then we can make adjustments for future games…or, at least we gave it a shot.
Good luck everyone. If you have any questions, just post them here or send me a message.
