Rookie of the Quarter
It is my honor and pleasure to announce on behalf of the Council of Nine that the Rookie of the Quarter Award has been conferred upon Lower Columbia. This ROQ recognizes an exceptional new nation who joined the forum during October to December of 2014.
Upon joining 10000 Islands in October 2014, Lower Columbia immediately set about establishing himself as an outstanding and continuing contributor to Islander life. During the 4th Quarter of 2014, LC became an active member of TITO, submitted ~1500 posts in the forum, and became a regular participant in Werewolf games.
The positive attitude and energy that Lower Columbia demonstrated to his fellow Islanders in the forum led directly to his election as Senator for New Republica South (Political Parties) earlier this month. It is quite rare for any first time candidate for Senate to win in his or her initial attempt, let alone after having been an Islander for just four months. However, this is exactly what LC did. It is an accomplishment that attests not only to his positive character and impact upon 10000 Islands, but to the trust his fellow Islanders felt confident to bestow upon him as one of their representatives on the Council of Nine.
