Commander Folm was nervous. damm why did hard ass general Morozov have to come. He was going to rock up tell everyone how he would deploy and they come up with orders later. Still as he was sitting in the cheap heavily built briefing room.
"So then gentleman we have all seen that plan I sent to general headquarters and we are not going to follow it. I know it is not protocol but I am not bothered. we will deploy our main force in the center and send a probing attack of 20 men to each building. we will see how it goes. honestly it depends how the enemy is set up. I am going to be commanding the force in the centre and I will assign low level commanders for the probes. I don't want to just blow past the enemy whatever happens. we can't smash through and get hit on the flanks. this plan will require a lot of initiative because there is no plan you need to make up your orders on the spot. any questions not comments relating to my ability to follow procedure."
some smiled at that, some did not.
most really could not be bothered to ask questions they all knew he would either ignore or not know the answer to. they all looked to the foreign general who was getting a translation now.

Commander Kimy was doing an inspection of the frontline with about 24 hours until the attack by the reds. Commander of the building 2 was briefing him about all the light defences they had prepared. It looked all right. They had not really built any defences, they just made sure that a counter attack would be easy. They had removed most of the walls on the right side allowing the soldiers in building 3 good fire at them. Plus clearing any internal walls and beams. Structural stablity was probably reduced but he did not plan to hold this building. All good him and his party of important people's sons went on to the next building.
