Werewolf 46: Doctor Who & The Master Werewolf
Time Lord Baden-Wuerttemberg had been made De-Generated...dead. Her demise was attributed to ingesting a sinfully, delicious ”Mozartkugel”, along with a tiny glass of an exquisitely aged ”Faux-Jägermeister”. Both substances were enormously treasured and normally harmless delicacies from the planet Earth. However, in TL Ba-Wu’s case testing established that both these decadently luxurious treats contained lethal amounts of “KKP”: Ketab Katzenjammer Poison. The Principal Aesculapius Reviewer’s instant conclusion was: “Death by Intentional De-Generation”; or, in Gallifreyan medical and legal nomenclature...Murder!
However, even as disturbing as the thought of TL Ba-Wu’s demise was, infinitely more troubling was the fact she had failed to Regenerate another life. After all, she was a mere 563 years old and had exhausted only 7 of the 12 regenerated lives allotted to all Time Lords. Something was horribly wrong on Gallifrey.
An emergency session of “The Gallifrey High Council of Time Lords” was immediately convened. The Agenda: Discuss these intensely disturbing and perplexing circumstances, as well as decide upon the necessary actions to be taken.
Official Transcript of Proceedings:
Barry the Butler: Bourbon anyone?
Time Lord Markanite: OH YEAH! Terran “Maker’s Mark”, please.
Time Lord Boltor (Emperor of Lyonesse East): *glares at TL Mark* No drinking….The High Council will now come to order and review the untimely and most cruel demise of Time Lord Baden-Wuerttemberg. We must also consider her inexplicable failure to Regenerate…. Discuss.
Time Lord Ater Nox: What in the name of the ‘Once Great Lord President Rassilon’ happened?
Time Lord Palman: She was poisoned. De-Generated most foully, in fact.
Time Lord Ardreas: I’d bet two of my Regenerations that those dastardly Blackguard Time Lords are behind this.
Time Lord Witchcraft and Sorcery: Most likely, indeed. Still, killing her is one thing - but how could those diabolical rapscallions have prevented Ba-Wu from Regenerating?
Time Lord Dominion of Compassion: How? Obviously the “Dodecahedron Regenerating Crystal” has been stolen and shielded by Paffnia-Delegoadium Vapors to prevent it from radiating its regenerating properties unto us. That’s how.
Time Lord Aersoldorf: Impossible! It is totally secure in the Robloxica Cryo-Dimensional Chamber and completely inaccessible.. Unless….
Time Lord Bolt: Precisely. Someone has developed a “Vortextualized Interdimensional Sonic Screwdriver” to enter the Dodec Crystal’s vault in their TARDIS and steal it!
Time Lord Sheynat: Preposterous! I mean, theoretically a VISS could be developed. But even research into creating one has been outlawed for well over 3,000 millenniums!
Time Lord ponem: Well, it looks like someone didn’t give a Klopstock-Ipuss’ paw about our little prohibition, now did they?
Time Lord Almonaster: I know! It has to be THE MASTER WEREWOLF and his Blackguard! …Hooligans, thugs, every one of them!
Time Lord Tierra de Madre: Woe be to us, if that be truth. Those nefarious nabobian Time Lords would control all Gallifrey. We’ll be denied Regeneration and die while they render the Dodec Crystal’s rejuvenative powers only unto themselves.
Time Lord Jin: It’s worse than that. They could grant virtual immortality to our alien enemies! They’d have the Penultimate Power to forever pillage and plunder throughout all of Time and Space!
Time Lord Fairly kind: Oh no, not that! Just imagine - Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, or The Silence.. What carnage those evil rascals could unleash upon the Universe throughout all Eternity, and possibly beyond!
Time Lord Louisistan: We’re doomed. Doomed!
Time Lord Hahiha / USSR: No, not yet. We likely have a few days to smoke out THE MASTER WEREWOLF Time Lord and his demonically despicable Blackguard, locate the Dodec Crystal, and save the whole Timey-Whimey Universe.
Time Lord Randomain: Hey. I’ll bet that incorrigible band of Time Lords is sitting amongst us at this very moment!
Time Lord Ayunli: Yep, because no one - except those around this table - even knows of the existence of the Dodec Crystal, let alone is aware of its awesome power.
Time Lord Nate NBNS: Well, what shall we do? Where do we start?
Time Lord @refusetoshine: Hmmm. First off, we must elect a Lord President from this Council to guide us through any moments of internal bickering or indecision.
Time Lord Shy Guy: But what if we choose a Blackguard Time Lord, or…*gulp*… or, THE MASTER WEREWOLF, himself?
Time Lord Echolilia: Eh, well, that would make our task more difficult, but still not impossible.
Time Lord Sauron: Nevertheless, we had best choose wisely.
Time Lord Tanzoria: We’re doomed. Doomed!
*group falls into a worrisome and contemplative silence*
Barry the Butler: Bourbon anyone?
THE TIME LORDS’ ROLES
LOYALIST TIME LORDS
The Inspector Prime – This Time Lord has the ability to interface with (scan) the central core of any Time Lord’s TARDIS at Night to determine the TL’s allegiance.
Protector Time Lords – These are two guardians who may defend both themselves and other Time Lords at Night. They do not know each other. Neither Protector may defend the same Time Lord two consecutive nights.
The Watchman – On one occasion this Time Lord has the ability to nullify all actions taken by any TLs during a Night phase.
Loyal Time Lords – These Time Lords have no special abilities, but are intensely determined to advance the Loyalist cause and put down the rebellion.
THE BLACKGUARD TIME LORDS
Blackguard Time Lords - There are several, maybe as many as a half dozen. Their sole goal is wrestle control of Gallifrey from the Loyalists. These rebel TLs can be successful by ultimately reducing the number of Loyalist Time Lords to no more than equal in number to their own.
The Master Werewolf - The Blackguard is led by one so cunning and clever that he is known as “The Master Werewolf”. He has stolen and hidden the Dodec Crystal and has the ability to regenerate into a second life if he is killed. He also has the power – which can be used only once – to prevent The Inspector Prime from scanning the central core of another TL’s TARDIS. For the Loyalists to maintain their control over Gallifrey, ALL the other Blackguard TLs must be killed BEFORE The Master Werewolf.
TIME LORDS OF THE MIST
Doctor Who – The Doctor doesn’t care much which side wins, as he doesn’t particularly like his fellow Time Lords in the first place. The Doctor’s ONLY goal is to survive the rebellion. To assist him, he has the power to interface with (scan) the central core of any Time Lord’s TARDIS at Night to determine the TL’s allegiance. However, he refuses to share his knowledge with any other Time Lord, including those TLs whose TARDISes he has scanned. In the event of his De-Generation, The Doctor also possesses enough residual energy from his most recent regeneration to obtain a second and final life; however, he will lose his ability to interface with other TL’s TARDISes.
The Vigilante Loyalist – Unknown to all other TLs, The Vigilante Loyalist Time Lord fights independently on the side of The Loyalists. On two Nights of his choosing he has the ability to De-Generate any TL he suspects of treason against the High Council.
The Lone Wolf Time Lord – Unknown to all other TLs, The Lone Wolf Time Lord fights independently on the side of the Blackguard, even though he doesn’t know who they are. He has the ability, during two Night phases to De-Generate any TL he suspects of being a threat to his cause. Although the Lone Wolf dislikes every TL even more than The Doctor does, he believes that only a victory by the Blackguard will eventually destroy them all. He is obviously very sick.
The Rules of The Time and Space Continuum
1. The Roles have been randomly selected via “Random.org”.
2. Each Day phase, except Day 1, will last 48 hours, during which the players will discuss and vote upon whom to “De-Generate” (or lynch) and eliminate from the game. Each player’s vote should be bolded. For example: VOTE: De-Generate Barry
3. A Lord President of The Gallifrey High Council of Time Lords shall be elected by all the Time Lords on the 1st Day
4. A “No De-Generation” vote may only be cast on the 1st Day. After Day 1, “No De-Generation” votes are not valid.
5. Failure to vote for two consecutive Day phases will result in elimination for inactivity. The initial Inactivity De-Generations will be announced and commence at the end of Day 3.
6. Each Night phase will last 24 hours. During that time the Blackguard may pm me the name of the player they want to De-Generate. All other players with a power role may pm me with whether or how they want to use their power.
7. The Loyalists win if all The Blackguard have been eliminated. The Master Werewolf must be eliminated last.
8. The Blackguard wins if the number of their surviving players becomes equal to or greater than the number of surviving Loyalists.
9. Doctor Who also wins if he survives to the end of the game.
10. The Vigilante Loyalist also wins if he survives and the Loyalists win.
11. The Lone Wolf also wins if he survives and the Blackguard wins.
12. The above three 'Time Lords of The Mist' are NOT counted in determining the winning conditions for the Loyalists or Blackguard.
13. Personal Messages (pm’s) are NOT permitted, with the exception of those threads set up by the Host (me), which will include one for The Inspector Prime & fellow scanned Loyalists, one for the Blackguard, and one for De-Generated Time Lords. Violations may result in some very icky stuff happening to you or gumming-up the central core of your TARDIS with Jelly Babies, and may include ejection from the game.
14. The posting or pm’ing of screenshots to other players is NOT permitted. Violations may result in ejection from the game.
14(A). Editing posts is NOT permitted. Violations may result in some really nasty stuff happening to you, including being locked out of your TARDIS.
15. Above all, have fun and enjoy the game. Please play nice with the other kiddies…. Well, except for Aerso. You can pick on The Mayor all you want.
I AM THE MASTER WEREWOLF.
LORD OF TIME.
AND ALL WILL OBEY ME.
