The People's Republic of Optimus Gentum is a tiny, orderly nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, state-planned economy, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 8 million Optimus Gentumians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."
The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Administration. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 65.3%.
The Optimus Gentumian economy, worth 432 billion Dollars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal.
