Sixth Annual Paffnia Prize

It's time for the sixth annual incarnation of the Paffnia Prize, the award given to the nation that comes up with the best new, implemented idea for the Islands each year. The Prize is administered and partially funded by Taco Island Charities. All the information on the Prize can be found here.

This year, my personal contribution to the Prize stands at 309,580 , and growing (Mortimer was good to me this year!). As previously, TIC will match whatever I ( Paffnia ) put in, for a total of 619,160 . Others are, of course, welcome to donate on top of that.

In a special new addition this year, the Baden-Wuerttemberg Ruby Prize for second place and Baden-Wuerttemberg Opal Prize for third place will also be awarded. Thank you to Baden-Wuerttemberg for the suggestion and the gem theme; I have decided to name the prizes in honor of her wonderful contributions over the years to our region!

In total, all three of the Paffnia and Ba-Wü Prizes will give out 1,000,000 (final amounts to be determined)!

I'd like to nominate the late Parthini for the inclusion of Article 2.2 of the 10ki constitution. Technically, not new but it hasn't been tried before 2017. And what do you know - it works!

XKI Casino would like to nominate Sic Bo Sunday for the Paffnia Prize, more in particular the Islander who came up with it and 'sold' the idea to the Casino Manager: @kozmix. He came up with this great idea for a dice game that already attracts the attention of (new) Islanders who until now hadn't found their way to XKI's finest establishment: XKI Casino. Through close cooperation with The Casino Manager, in a short time a clean and simple game has evolved that will enrich many Islander, involving them in our economy. The game was specifically designed with new Islanders in mind; the wager or entry fee deliberately kept low. Though the introduction of this game was a quiet one, XKI Casino believes it will take off and fly after the upcoming free trial play.

Sadly, I don't think this meets the eligibility criteria, but Woonsocket has indeed handled the transition marvelously.

Very important work, but I'm not sure it's a new idea that qualifies.

Technically, Armada of the undead isn't new, we've done it before. Neither is naming generations after notable islanders, as the Shelter Generation dates back to 2014.
