I'm pretty sure that Sauron is in the clear, unless he decided to go all genius again
The Silmarillion; Chapter 19: Now Sauron knew well, as did all in that land, the fate that was decreed for the hound of Valinor, and it came into his thought that he himself would accomplish it. Therefore he took upon himself the form of a werewolf, and made himself the mightiest that had yet walked the world.
As anyone who's seen me play Werewolf in TRR's Discord can tell you: when I play neutral roles I almost always lean village.
That being said, I did my best and knew when the game was over.
Congrats Empire (and me)!

Yeah, but capture the flag was a better fit for this theme... When Palman got the Leia's role I said to myself unfortunately this wasn't to take long... And when Tanz tried his first kill in Palman, I thanked God for being blocked... Now, ready for the next WW game...

My biggest frustration with capture the flag is that it can be over on day 1 (as it sounds like this one almost was!) but I think it was a mistake to have a neutral character who just wants to survive have the power to detect the players that end the game. Players who just want to survive have every reason to want the game to end as quickly as possible, and then the games' too short.
