The North Pole, December 1978
Santa's Workshop is abuzz with elves preparing for that loveliest of all holidays: Christmas! Toys are manufactured, the sled is being polished and there's a general good mood all around.
But something just seems off this year. During their breaks, some of the elves are talking about forming unions and such things...
The Setup:

1 Paranoid Gun Owner
1 Santa Claus
5 Elves
Santa Claus (Mayor) - By virtue of him being the biggest and only employer of the village, Santa Clause is also the Mayor of the village and will break any ties. Other than that, he has no powers. When Santa dies, ties will be broken randomly.
Chutney Snowleaves (Seer) - The oldest and most experienced elf in the village has a keen eye for spotting communists. Once per night phase, he may choose to investigate a player. If he does, the player's role will be revealed. Chutney makes complicated jigsaws, puzzles, and board games for all the good little children. He wears a tunic embroidered with blue and silver snowflakes, and he is an adventurous elf who loves to see new places and explore!
Defenders (Names TBD) - A defender may select one player to defend per night phase. A defended player cannot be killed by the commies.
Gingernuts Fruitfir (Paranoid Gun Owner) - Gingernuts is the most paranoid of the bunch. He sees commies everywhere. As a result, he shoots anyone who targets him at night (i.e. Seer, Defender, Communist). However, the night action is still performed on them (e.g. if the Commnists attack Gingernuts, Gingernut will die along with one of the Commies). Gingernuts makes flying toy helicopters for all the good little children. He wears a jacket embroidered with frosted winter fruits, and he is a deep-thinking, mysterious elf who often goes off alone to invent things!

The Communists may jointly choose one player to kill at night. If that player is not defended, the player dies.

Rules:
- The length of the day and night phases will vary. I expect that this game may stretch into the Christmas Holidays and with people being busy on those days, I will extend day and night phases as I see fit. The length of any phase will be announced when it starts.
- The Seer will have a "Seer's Army"-PM thread. Villagers who have been scanned by the Seer will be automatically added. The Communists have a PM thread. Players are free to communicate with each other via PM, but must include me in their PM threads. No discussions between players on Discord.
- Victory Conditions: The village wins when all Commies have been defeated and Christmas has been saved. The Communists win when the number of villagers alive is equal to or lower than the number of Communists and the elves have been freed from the oppresion of the old fat factory owner.
