Greetings, esteemed delegates of the World Assembly.
My name is Alistair Stonesworth, the leader of the great nation of Concrete Slab, and I come to you with a request on behalf of our delegation to the World Assembly.
As many of you know, recently, the multiverse experienced a time of complete collapse. It was terrifying to have four days disappear without a trace, especially during a time of year that is supposed to be filled with joy and laughter.
This is why, in conjunction with the delegation from The Atlae Isles and the remnants of Morover, Concrete Slab is proud to put forth this declaration of the incident for the Security Council’s consideration.
With this declaration, we will establish a holiday commemorating the event and provide an explanation concerning what happened for future nations.
Now, for the purpose of this telegram. We humbly ask that you use your power to approve this proposal so that it can be voted on by members of the World Assembly across the multiverse.
Thank you so much, and have a wonderful day.

Hello once again Markanite, delegate and friend.
I hope you're doing well. I have submitted a bill to the World Assembly, and I am asking for your support. This bill repeals General Assembly Resolution #550 "Freedom of Association", which protects people's rights to associate with organizations and entities freely. However, there are obvious and sensible limitations to these freedoms: nations should be allowed to penalize association with certain hate groups, unlawful organizations, and several other types of groups. Fortunately, the targeted resolution makes room for these exceptions. There are, however, several notable flaws that have led me to submit this repeal. Most notable of these is the failure to include the allowance of penalties for associations that may be a conflict of interest for politicians or the like. This is not the only flaw, and I encourage you to read the proposed repeal for more information.
I have a replacement bill that is currently being drafted on the forums, to great success; because of the length of the queue, it will not be able to be submitted for almost a month, and I am sure that by the time that it becomes necessary to do so, the bill shall be perfected and ready to submit.
I thank you for your consideration and ask that you approve the bill here: page=UN_view_proposal/id=the_serendipitous_1672464521

Dear Markanite,
As you likely saw on the WA’s voting page, GA #2: Rights and Duties of WA States, was recently repealed. This was the first player-submitted proposal to become a resolution, and it laid the groundwork for much of the current principles of the General Assembly. Of course, it had its flaws, being of an earlier age, hence the repeal. However, the fact remains that it was foundational to the way that the General Assembly operates. Therefore, there is a replacement, which covers much the same principles as GA #2, though in a different style and without the flaws for which GA #2 was repealed.
One of the differences is the fact that the replacement: Rights, Lefts, Duties, and Freedoms of WA States is, as the title suggests, intended to be somewhat humorous humorous. Comedy is part of the modern General Assembly, and a replacement for GA #2 should take into account the brevity with which many proposals are drafted. Though not entirely comedic, the replacement does have some elements of humour; at least, I hope that it does. Furthermore, a second difference is that the replacement is more detailed, being more explicit about the requirements that GA law imposes. This includes clarifications about the requirements that the GA imposes on itself, namely the rules for proposals.
Conversely, there are also many similarities between Rights, Lefts, Duties and Freedoms of WA States and GA #2. One of these is that both mandate compliance in good faith. This is part of the bedrock of the General Assembly. Nations cannot simply comply by following bizarre or absurd interpretations, but must honestly and genuinely attempt to follow the mandates of a given resolution. Clearly, international legislation could not function without this principle. Another key part of both the replacement and GA #2 is the recognition that, within the boundaries determined by international law, nations have their own choice of government and law. This is vital to preserve an important quantity of sovereignty, even under the internationalist General Assembly. There is also the acknowledgement that all nations are equal in their affairs before international legislation.
Some may notice that the replacement does not feature any clauses about the military foundation of the General Assembly, unlike GA #2, which had a large focus on the possibly international nature of military action. This is for two reasons. First, the length of the proposal was already fairly long, so it seemed as though it would require excessive brevity in some part of the text to include both civil and military principles. Second, there is a lot of powerful disagreement over whether, for example, there should be a military of the General Assembly. By leaving this to a separate proposal to address, with many examples of different viewpoints having been drafted on the forums, the General Assembly can have this debate without having to worry about lacking a replacement for GA #2.
Overall, I would like to invite you to approve Rights, Lefts, Duties, and Freedoms of WA States here. If you have any questions, concerns, or criticisms, please do not hesitate to contact me through telegram, and I will endeavour to respond quickly. This does replace GA #2, so I hope that the proposal addresses all of the issues mentioned in the repeal. Lastly, given the current season, I would like to wish everyone a happy New Year.
Kind regards,
Kenmoria

To your excellency the esteemed Delegate,
I sincerely apologise for bothering you during the holiday season, but it would be wonderful if you can re-consider the proposal "All We Want For Christmas Is You" which has been re-submitted to the SC for approval for quorum. If deemed appropriate, please approve the proposal to vote and to support the proposal at voting.
The forum thread is (still) here:
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=527996
The proposal is here:
page=UN_view_proposal/id=simone_republic_1672412052
As the initial proposal was first ruled legal and then ruled illegal after discussions by the Moderators over wording issues, I have had to re-word the resolution.
About the proposal
The proposal urges nations within the World Assembly to celebrate the holidays, whenever their calendar and wherever they are, in a festive manner. It also includes veiled acknowledgments of the work of the site admins and moderators when NationStates went out of service over the Christmas holidays, via comments on hamsters (as in hamsters running on wheels powering servers), a necessity since "4th wall" declarations are prohibited as per the SC rules.
The wording is done in a slightly unusual manner: it is drafted as a parody of the lyrics of the famous (or notorious) Christmas classic song (or earworm) "All I want for Christmas is you" by Walter Afanasieff and Mariah Carey. I hope you would appreciate the sense of humor.
Once again, I apologise for having to ask you to vote again on this matter. I urge you to vote for this resolution and I also take this opportunity to wish you happy holidays and a happy New Year in 2023.
Cordially yours

Hello, my dear Markanite,
I have recently submitted a bill for the consideration of the World Assembly. This bill is known as the World Assembly Website Act — for too long, the World Assembly has gone without having this crucial modern form of communication. With the hopeful passage of this act, this shall be remedied.
But first, it must garner the necessary approvals to reach the floor. I humbly approach you today to request your approval of the bill here: page=UN_view_proposal/id=the_serendipitous_1672272447
I thank you for your time and for your service to both your region and to the World Assembly.
Forever onward,
The Serendipitous.

Greetings, honorable delegate from Markanite,
We write to you on this fine day in order to humbly request your support for our recently-submitted proposal, Repeal: “Reducing Spills And Leaks”. Simply put, we believe that the swift passage of this resolution is critical to ensuring a prosperous future for all World Assembly member states, yourselves included.
Among the most egregious flaws present in such an archaic piece of World Assembly legislature as GA#298, are reckless restrictions stemming from poorly-thought-out language; inflexible requirements tied to the whims of a rigid international organization; overbearing mandates which threaten the smooth flow of trade between WA and non-WA states; and an astonishing lack of some of most important regulations for the safe transportation and storage of hazardous materials, such as fail safes for inter-organizational cooperation. Due to these flaws and others, we beseech you and your constituents to throw your support behind our proposal: page=UN_view_proposal/id=gemeinschaftsland_1671593890
