The Kingdom of Hakketomat is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Jasan with an even hand, and renowned for its daily referendums, public floggings, and absence of drug laws. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, humorless population of 9.445 billion Hakketomatians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.
The tiny, corrupt, pro-business government prioritizes Industry, with Education and Healthcare also on the agenda, while Spirituality and Social Policy receive no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Palais d'Entreprise. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 2.0%.
The frighteningly efficient Hakketomatian economy, worth a remarkable 2,085 trillion Hugs a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Retail, Tourism, and Book Publishing. Average income is an amazing 220,780 Hugs, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 1,918,208 per year while the poor average 4,027, a ratio of 476 to 1.
Murder is sanctioned if the legal paperwork is filled out correctly, prisoners pray grey skies are gonna clear up, the nation's most popular sport is sabotaging foreigners' hopes and dreams, and women who are caught shoplifting are sent home to their fathers with a patronising pat on the bottom. Crime is a serious problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Hakketomat's national animal is the Koala, which is also the nation's favorite main course.
Hakketomat is ranked 148,380th in the world and 935th in 10000 Islands for Least Corrupt Governments, with 46.64 Percentage Of Bribes Refused.

Listing the reasons why I chose Hakketomat as the featured nation was the hardest part of selecting him as featured nation. He regularly answers issues, is a TITO officer, is active on this forum (he has 50,000 posts just to add context), comes to almost every TITO update, and is active on the RMB! Somehow, he hasn’t gotten this award yet. The featured nation award is usually given to new nations, but Hakketomat has contributed so much to XKI, I had to give this award to him.
