It's that time again! Following on incarnations in 2007-8, 2014-5, 2017-8, and 2018-9. Taco Island Charities is proud to present the Louisistan Time Capsule!
Any nation with a properly registered and masked forum account can participate. To participate, you must follow these instructions:
1. Post in this thread to participate. Your thread must include:
- An item of your choice that you plan to put into the capsule.
- A link to one (and only one) NationStates nation that you own, which will be used to determine whether you have CTE'd or not.
2. Send an entry fee of 1,000 to Taco Island Charities. Your entry will not count without an item for the capsule, a link to a NS nation, AND this fee.
The capsule closes at 6:00 P.M. Pacific October 18th. On October 18, 2020, the capsule will be opened. At that time, the following prizes will be awarded:
Percentage of Nations Surviving | Prize Money |
from 90% to 100% | 1,000,000 split among the surviving nations |
from 80% up to 90% | 750,000 split among the surviving nations |
from 70% up to 80% | 500,000 split among the surviving nations |
from 60% up to 70% | 250,000 split among the surviving nations |
above 50%, up to 60% | 100,000 split among the surviving nations |
50% or under | sum of entry payments split among the surviving nations |
Any nation that has not CTE'd and has not been banned from the Islands counts as "surviving," even if they have moved voluntarily from the Islands (or were never in XKI in the first place).
No matter what, all surviving nations will receive at least the value of their 1,000 entry fee returned at the capsule's opening.
These time capsules were named for Louisistan, following his generous contribution to TIC. Thanks again to him for the support!
