I for one, am incredibly curious as to what many of these 'inactive UN nations' actually do. I mean, we are not talking about newcomers to the region - some of these guys have been here for donkeys years.
They must do something.
I'd like a list of nations over 3 billion who are NOT forums members if only to ask these people what they do in NS. Who knows? Maybe they are RP'ers on the main NS forum.
Or maybe they're stalkers stealing our IP addresses and reading our emails (j/k)

Perhaps. Well, i think curiosity can be appeased. We need an IMM spurt, then we can get sufficient people to take these surveys, and pay them in the doing so. The money earnt goes back into the economy, so both a financial gain and a social understanding is made. It is innovation that should be encouraged.

Today, on the first day of voting, I thought I might just let all the candidates know that I (and other members of the Council) have been listening with great interest to all of your great, new ideas on how to improve the Islands, as well as all of your many positions on the issues. Your suggestions will not go unheeded, regardless of the elections' outcomes.
For example, I've been paying particular interest to the comments about the Emissary Program, since I'm directly responsible for it. I really liked Skwerrel's suggestion of posting monthly updates on the general forum page in order to spark interest in the program. So, I hope to incorporate that no matter how his race against Sinn turns out. Of course, Sinn and XFracture and others had some good ideas in their own right, which I'd like to see come to fruition.
Since I hold the only Senate seat not up for election, I guess I just feel responsible for making sure that all of this discourse and brainstorming doesn't go to waste. Just be assured that it won't. Thanks for a very active campaign everyone. And keep trying to stay civil -- I know these debates can get heated, trust me, I've seen my share here too.
Well, I must confess that my past elections have been pretty tame. My first was against Elgarve, a founding UPP member but pretty unknown at the time. And then last time, I went unopposed as it turned out, though Sinn still nearly beat me. But judging from the aggressive campaigning and such this time, I'm 100% sure I definitely won't have it so easy. Really, I've just had lucky draws so far, so I'm definitely a bit nervous. But, hey, in the end, competition is better for everyone and makes sure we're doing our job
Anyway, enough about me. Good luck this week to all!
