Howdy... I'm making an issue that I'm going to submit to nationstates... let me know what you think, any suggestions or criticism will be appreciated... here it is:
Title: A Light Ban
Description: Environmentalists are lobbying to make incandescent bulbs illegal in all places, public and private, due to their energy waste and enforce the use of energy saving fluorescent bulbs.
[Option]Your chief adviser on environmental affairs says, "This is a simple, obvious step, to making our nation a better place to live. Our energy costs will go down, and our need for that dirty coal power plant will be no more, and best of all it will save everyone money! Incandescent bulbs just waste too much money and energy. Ban incandescent bulbs!" [Effect] Civil freedoms will go down, while the environment will benefit.
[Option] "What's this your saying?" Says personal freedoms advocate @@randomname@@. "You want to ban a type of light bulb!" "What's next?" "What material I can build MY house out of?" "This is absurd!" "The government can't tell me what not to use!" [Effect] Civil freedoms will increase, environmental spending will be cut.
[Option] "Not only that." Says @@randomname@@, a respected kindergarten teacher. "Fluorescent bulbs are known to cause eye problems, depression, and other emotional disorders because they do not emit as many wavelengths of light as incandescent bulbs do. Our rate of child depression and other problems might be explained by them being exposed to them while in school. Fluorescent bulbs must be banned, for the good of the children and all of @@nationsname@@! [Effect] Civil freedoms will go down along with environmental spending, while health spending will increase.
Let me know what you think...
