The Great Region of Texas officially issues Congratulations to each and every nation that was elected, that ran, that voted, that viewed these proceedings! These were some great elections as usual! We had a couple of really close races, most notably, Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State with Pharaoh Richard & Independent Planets being the primary contenders fighting it out for both. When the dust settled, each has a Cabinet position. The Goddess of Texas faced some serious trouble from that devious No Confidence fellow, but she remains our Goddess and Ruler of The World. The TRC was a close one as well with some seriously close contests. Cheers to the new TRC representatives, it was a hard-fought race. The Vice President of Texas sees Chief Bottle Washer Jmac of Greenspoint reprising his role after CHB recently vacated the position. And in a surprise move, Bears dropped out of the race for Counterculture leading to a walkover for long-term Cabinet candidate CHW who defeated No Confidence. In the other races, all the incumbents safely defeated their challenger or No Confidence. Even the President defeated them, resoundingly!
Everyone needs to congratulate Sweet Furry Kittens on retaining her position! For an entire quarter, lightening has been rippling across the surface of her eyes. She could definitely handle some kowtowing, benevolence, huggles and probably chocolate (or maybe even tequila). The TDF will remain on standing guard at The Goddess Shack, at a safe distance, to protect Texans.
Please join us in commending all of Texas for their participation in this quarter's Election! This quarter, we had fewer speeches than usual, but that is Ok. Texans are still very much alive and are a dynamic bunch after all these years! Kudos!
Again, we had an Election without any questionable "moments" in the races this quarter, but that is a good thing. It was a nice clean race.
There were an unprecedented thirteen Texas Constitutional actions up for a vote this quarter! The New Article, Texas Nation Anthem, failed, but Maryginia seem undeterred and we expect to see that one up for a vote again in the future, possibly with a new song. There were three Repeals of existing legislation that were all defeated. That is a tribute to the Constitution reflecting Texans' values. No Article has ever been repealed in the Texas Constitution. Of the nine Amendments to the Texas Constitution, three resulted in ties, 1 failed and 5 passed. Legal scholars will have to make a determination on what happens in the result of a tie (looks toward the Three-headed Monster in the corner).
Big cheers to all the new and returning Texas Representative Council members and new and returning Cabinet members! Farewell to the departing ones, your service is appreciated and we look forward to seeing you once again in the future! Special thanks to all who ran and if you didn't win, we hope you run again in the future.
Overall, this has been great fun and a highlight for all Texans. We look forward to seeing how the new freely-elected Government of Texas will make Texas bigger, better and greater than ever! Cheers to The Great Region of Texas!
Long Live The Great Region of Texas!
Big Tex President of Texas

Texas seems to have amended the Constitution a lot!
Is it amend-able through a government vote or must a general WA vote be cast?

Thanks! Texas seems to have amended the Constitution a lot! Is it amend-able through a government vote or must a general WA vote be cast? It is amend-able every quarter. Any registered citizen may submit their amendment(s). Also, every registered citizen/player is allowed one vote on each issue. They must be registered before the elections process starts, WA or not. Puppets are not given a vote.

The Great Region of Texas officially issues Congratulations to each and every nation that was elected, that ran, that voted, that viewed these proceedings! These were some great elections as usual! We had a couple of really close races, most notably, Secretary of Counterbalance and Secretary of Space with Crazy Hell For War being the primary contender fighting it out for both. When the dust settled, CHW loast his Counterbalance Cabinet position to former VP Crosby-Huffman-Barret. The Goddess of Texas was a casualty this quarter as, at her request, her position was eliminated. She will remain Goddess in our hearts The World will have to do without a Ruler for a while. The TRC race was a strange one with the departure of Havensky, who is still MIA and all the positions not being filled by the remaining contenders. CHW rejoins the TRC as a consolation prize. We do not know exactly what happens when all the positions are not filled. We are sure our legal experts are reviewing the Constitution now to see what happens with that open position. Cheers to the returning TRC representatives. That devious No Confidence fellow did not present a real challenge to any of the Cabinet positions with the exception of the Department of World Assembly Affairs! The incumbents barely defeated the challenge by No Confidence by one vote. As usual, the President defeated No Confidence, resoundingly, we might add.
Please join us in commending all of Texas for their participation in this quarter's Election! This quarter, we had less speeches and less nominations than usual, but that is Ok. This usually happens during the Third Quarter Elections which happen durign the Big Summer Die-Off. Texans are still very much alive, yet older, and are a dynamic bunch even after all these years! Kudos!
Again, we had an Election without any questionable "moments" in the races this quarter, but that is a good thing. It was a nice clean race.
In this Election, we again had what was previously unprecedented - thirteen Texas Constitutional actions up for a vote this quarter! The two New Articles, Texas Regional Anthem and Right to Petition in Texas, failed. However we suspect Maryginia is still undeterred and we expect to see that one up for a vote again in the future. CHW is a tough cookie too and we suspect we will see something similar again in the future. There were 4 Repeals of existing legislation that were all defeated. That is a tribute to the Constitution reflecting Texans' values. No Article has ever been repealed in the Texas Constitution. Of the seven Amendments to the Texas Constitution, 3 failed and 4 passed.
Big cheers to all the returning Texas Representative Council members and returning Cabinet members! Farewell to the departing ones, your service is appreciated and we look forward to seeing you once again in the future! In light of recent events, we'd like to reemphasize our support of 10KI and TITO, and what they represent. While we have no official information to share as of yet, our own nation has decided to change the national flag to the TDF battle flag in honor of 10KI/TITO until this incident has ended.

These were some great elections as usual! We had a couple of really close races, most notably, Secretary of World Assembly Affairs! In a first, that pesky No Confidence has gained a foothold in Texas! When the dust settled, the Three-Headed Monster that was our Secretary of WA Affairs has grown a new head! What a beast! We bet no region in the entire world can claim the need for not two, not three, but four Secretaries for wrangling Texans and their voraciaous WA appetites. The Secretary of Counterbalance was a casualty this quarter as the position was eliminated. The TRC race was another action-packed one. There was a five-way tie for the final four positions, so we will have an extra member this quarter. Wolf MacLeod was the only casualty amongst incumbents and Ziotica is a newcomer to the TRC. Crosby-Huffman-Barret returns to the TRC after an absence and Cielos Negros returns after probably the longest hiatus in the history of the Texas Elections (it must be at least five years, if not six or seven). Cheers to the returning TRC representatives. That devious No Confidence fellow did not present a real challenge to the other Cabinet positions. As usual, the President defeated No Confidence, resoundingly, we might add. Please join us in commending all of Texas for their participation in this quarter's Election! This quarter, we had less speeches and less nominations than usual, but that is Ok. Nobody likes too much drama during Elections. Texans are still very much alive, yet older, and are a dynamic bunch even after all these years! Kudos! Again, we had an Election without any questionable "moments" in the races this quarter, but that is a good thing. It was a nice clean race. In this Election, we again had another plethora of Texas Constitutional actions up for a vote this quarter! The one New Article, Texas Regional Anthem, was very close to being Thank God I am A Country Boy yet missed it by one vote. However we suspect Maryginia is still undeterred and we expect to see that one up for a vote again in the future. There was 1 Repeal of existing legislation that passeed. This was the first Article has ever been repealed in the Texas Constitution. It was simply redundant and was a housekeeping move. The other 6 actions were all Amendments and all passed. There was some spirited debate on one of them, but it passed ultimately. That is a tribute to the Constitution reflecting Texans' values. Big cheers to all the returning Texas Representative Council members and returning Cabinet members! Farewell to the departing ones, your service is appreciated and we look forward to seeing you once again in the future! Special thanks to all who ran and if you didn't win, we hope you run again in the future. Overall, this has been great fun and a highlight for all Texans. State of the Region Address
The Great Region of Texas officially issues Congratulations to each and every nation that was elected, that ran, that voted, that viewed these proceedings! These were some great elections as usual! None of the races were all that close, despite No Confidence running in all of them. They only received a single vote in each race. All the incumbents running retained their positions. As we mentioned earlier, the Texas Department of State has closed. It may reopen next Election. The Texas Representative Council race was pretty tame as well. The former Sec-O-State, A Mysterious Vagabond, is staying in the TRC even though he will not be in the Cabinet. We hope he enjoys a much needed rest after serving these last two long quarters. We hope he returns in the future. As usual, the President defeated No Confidence, resoundingly, we might add
Please join us in commending all of Texas for their participation in this quarter's Election! We had fewer speeches and fewer nominations than usual, but that is Ok. Nobody likes too much drama during Elections. Texans are still very much alive, yet older, and are a dynamic bunch even after all these years! Kudos!
Again, we had an Election without any questionable "moments" in the races this quarter, but that is a good thing. It was a nice clean race.
In this Election, we had several Texas Constitutional actions up for a vote. Three Articles were purely housekeeping in effect. One concerned ties, one removed an unused/unimplemented TRC power and one was about ejections. None of these were earth-shaking. However, there was an earth-shaking one, Amendment to Article XII, which covered the frequency of Elections. This Amendment changed the Quarterly elections to Triannual Elections. We are going from four Elections a year to three. The exact months have yet to be determined, but it would stand to reason that it would be four months from the last Election. The new Article on a National Anthem was trounced again. Texas is a rough crowd when it comes to music.
We look forward to seeing how the new freely-elected Government of Texas will make Texas bigger, better and greater than ever! Cheers to the Great Region of Texas!
