What are the major differences between he conservative and progressive political parties in Nation States? And no, the descriptions already provided don't really answer that question for me.

The UPP is more pro-change, while the ACN is more pro-status quo. Don't listen to me though, the actual members of those parties would probably give a better answer.

Today, there isn't much of a difference in the political parties because there aren't many issues to be discussed. Back when there were heated debates over changing the structure of our government, the differences in party ideology became much more apparent. But now? There isn't much to do now, and both parties just think up stuff we think would be for the good of the region. IIRC a lot of improvements in specific Ministries (such as reforms in Education, or Immigration) have come from the UPP members, whereas general forum improvements (such as the debate hall) have come from ACN members, but this is probably more coincidental than anything else.
