The Politburo holds the right to advise the Premier directly, as well as making executive higher ranking decisions in the United Socialist States of Globexanter. They hold the same vote as a member of the Parliament of People’s Deputies.
The Parliament of People’s Deputies is composed of around fifty or more citizens of Globexanter, one citizen from each Region of the Globexanterian mainland and habitated isles. The Parliament of People’s Deputies votes upon the Laws and Acts of the United Socialist States of Globexanter. It can also debate the duty of a Minister, in the case where the Public believes that an inquiry into his workings are required. There are two parts to the Parliament of People's Deputies, the Lower Parliament and the Upper Parliament. The Lower is consisted of 577 members and the Upper of 348 members, making a total of 925 members.
Carcassonne is Globexanter's Capital City, one of the first Globexanterian cities ever built in the Country. In the center of the city is an ancient medieval structure, a large "kremlin" with two defensive walls, the palace being inside these large double walls. All around the "Old City" (the older parts of Carcassonne) can be found ancient defenses, hastily set up during the Battle of Carcassonne in a desperate move to push back invaders. Such defenses have been, in the view of historical culture, left in position and maintained.
In the center of the city, within the Kremlin's walls, is the Government Area (also simply known as the Carcassonne's Kremlin), which houses the Government Buildings (Parliament, Politburo...), including those underground, as well as the Government Palace (which is located in the center of the Kremlin). The walls and the four entrances of the Kremlin are constantly manned by the Palace Guards.
The Main Square faces the Western wall of the Kremlin, where a march is held every fourteenth of October, in memory of the Communist revolutions in Globexanter. On the same wall of the building inside the Kremlin facing this Main Square is a large balcony, where Government officials honor dead servicemen and women and watch the October march. On the balcony is a large bronze statue of a twentieth century Globexanterian soldier in full gear, holding a limp comrade in a similar uniform in his arms. On the bottom of the monument is wrote (in French) "United Forever, Wherever And Whenever" on a small plaque. Below the plaque is a small hatch, which leads to a storage section underneath the statue which is large enough to let a small box through. Each year, a new little box (with the date of the year on it) is put into the hole. This box holds the names, birth dates and death dates of every Globexanterian serviceman and servicewoman killed in the line of duty (or due to service in the line of duty) since the last October commemorations.
Directly below the said balcony which houses the statue, outside of the Kremlin walls and technically in the Main Square, is a large bronze wall, out of which are carved two soldiers, one male and the other female. The wall has been sculpted in a manner which represents the two armed individuals seemingly running out of the wall and into the square, the soldiers (carrying equipment dating from the early Globexanterian Communist Revolutions) are in memory of the storming of the Carcassonne Kremlin, where an intense firefight took place during the Revolution, taking the lives of many under-equipped citizens. In general, the monument was made to honor the dead whom fought for Globexanter's freedom from the Czar. Each October the Premier is expected to place a new bouquet of flowers with the flag of Globexanter at the bottom of the monument.
Under the city (as in all Globexanterian cities and large villages) are numerous State owned nuclear bunkers, which also serve as temporary protection for when the city comes under attack. Carcassonne's entire metro system is linked to these bunkers, and can also be sealed from the city in the event of a nuclear or conventional attack.
