Welcome to Using Technology in National Transparency. Send the greatest newb designers you have for a class on how to design your sites well! This site will also contain hints about how to promote any normal website.
We will divide this course into three sections:
1. Design
2. SEO for good
3. Hiding for bad
each unit will have a small test connected to it (worth 150 points, tests are open-net, open-note) and at the end there will be a project worth 500 points (most assignments will be worth about 50).
Late work will be assessed a 20% penalty off of the total number of points assuming it will be less than 1 week late, if over one week late it will be assessed a 50% penalty and if it is not done by the end of the course it will not be graded AT ALL.
All assignments will be turned in through PM, and I will remind all students via PM of the next assignment. This thread is open for discussion and questions about the course. Note that all grades will also be submitted through PM and that this class will required usually 5 to 10 minutes per week to complete for around 4 to 6 weeks. Note also that if you are absent for a week +/- a little you may/should PM me to complete the missed time after the rest of the course.
