Everyone wants to feel secure in their homeland, and the same is true in NationStates. Your choice of a home region can have a direct impact on the level of security your nation will enjoy. Some people like to band together with others who share common interests, some regions are based on geography and others are based on religion. Regardless of what your personal interests are, there is surely a region that fits your style of game play and your personal interests. If you just can’t find one that you like, you’re also free to create your very own region. The tricky part is deciding which one is right for you.
I would like to cordially invite you to check out [region]10000 Islands[/region] and see what we have to offer. Everyone would have you believe that their region is the best but they can’t all be right. To decide which the best region for your nation is, you need to decide what you’d like to get out of playing NationStates. Many other regions place restrictions on how you run your country or what religion you must adopt, not so with us. We leave the running of your country in your hands because, after all, that’s the whole point of playing.

We have a strong regional government made up of the Council of Nine. The Council of Nine is composed of our Founder ([nation]Grub[/nation]), the Delegate (currently [nation]Markanite[/nation]), four Senators, and three Ministers of governmental departments. Senate elections are held every two months and are open to any nation who wishes to join the World Assembly.
While joining the regional forum is voluntary, I highly recommend it because it offers a lot more opportunity for you to enhance your enjoyment of the game and express yourself on more varied topics.
