Have you clicked on the contact in the jobs board to start your application process? If so, please be patient as TITO applications take some time to process. If not, you must contact TITO command to notify them of your desire to enlist/ join.

There used to be a spot available for Emissary to the Rejected Realms. That position has been filled.

What exactly, if I am not being to forward in asking, does employment as an emissary entail.  As a newer member of XKI, I find myself firmly enticed by the idea of becoming a more invested member of the community.  

I would greatly appreciate any information that can be forwarded to me regarding the obligations inherent in the position of emissary.

Unfortunately, the emissary jobs were just filled, but they open up pretty regularly, so thanks for your interest!

Here's a general synopsis of the duties of an emissary:

EMISSARY DUTIES: 10000 Islands Emissaries duties shall include:

1. Maintaining friendly relations with regions to which they are assigned. (Thus, off-topic discussion is allowed within reason.)
2. Reporting on a regular basis back to the 10000 Islands with any news from the region. Sensitive developments should be reported privately to Grub via telegram and not disclosed publicly.
3. Reporting on a regular basis 10000 Islands non-sensitive news to the assigned region, thereby keeping communication and lines of dialogue open.
4. Promoting an accurate, positive image of the 10000 Islands abroad, as representatives of all Islanders.
5. Advertising 10000 Islands international events, should they be planned, across NationStates in a manner that follows all rules. Each Emissary must get permission from the foreign Founder or Delegate before any kind of advertising of our events should be posted in the foreign region.

As part of a larger discussion in the Council, I really want to stress that being emissary is a serious job that requires commitment and regular reporting back home on the region's goings-on. Do not apply if you cannot, at the very least, handle monthly updates both in your assigned region and back here.
