Culture:
The Nechian Empire is a land of mixed cultures and religions. The five tribes of the empire are distinct but do to over a thousand years of unity are quite cohesive.
The Nechians- The Nechians have been driven by centuries by Art and martial prowess. Many of the great opera houses and art galleries are located in the Imperial capital of Neches. Physically they are of average size with men being 5’9 to 6’2 weighing between 180 and 250 with hair being light to dark brown with eyes being of any color between gray and brown. The women share all physical traits but are on average 5’2 to 5’11 and weighing between 130 and 170.
The Caspycicans-(Conquered in 1000 B.C.E) They tend to be jovial carefree people. Yet all that tends to change when it comes to sport. They excel at sports such as boxing martial arts and soccer. The men and women tend to be of equal size between 5’6 and 6’5 with hair that is either blonde brown or red. They weigh between 190 and 240 pounds.
The Anglanaians-(Conquered 750 B.C.E) These are the great farmers of the Empire they can also be found in the western plains of the Royal district it seems that a green thumb is apparent in all of these people they are quite a varied people with skin that ranges from a pale ivory to ebony they are of any size between 4’10 and 7’0 and weigh between 100 and 300 pounds
The Indysovians- (Annexed in 200 C.E) This area is the only area of the island that was not conquered rather settled by the 3 previous regions some of the greatest minds in all fields can be found here it is a great mixture of all the cultures of the empire. Yet a distinctive Creole culture which they are very proud of is highly noticeable.
The Norunasians-(Joined the empire 566 C.E) The great chief Geraldo Jimenez gave his land and service to the emperor (Adolphus) in exchange for the hand of his third daughter Heidi linking the two tribes by blood they tend to be industrious and farmers having a great knack for business and trade. The tend to be tanned skinned and of any weight or height. They have dark brown to black eyes and black hair.
Weather :
The Royal District of Neches
Winters can be severe in the Interior and the North. For example, the average overnight low in January is −14 °C (7 °F). Southern Interior valleys have shorter winters with brief bouts of cold. Heavy snowfall occurs in the Coast, Nechian Mountains providing healthy bases for skiers.
On the Coast, rainfall, sometimes relentless heavy rain, dominates in winter because of consistent barrages of cyclonic low-pressure systems. Heavy snowfalls and below freezing temperatures arrive when modified arctic air reaches coastal areas for typically short periods. On the opposite extreme, summers in the Southern Interior valleys are hot in July Maximum averages 32 °C (90 °F), hot weather sometimes moves towards the Coast or to the far North. Temperatures have gone over 40 °C (104 °F) in the past The extended summer dryness often creates conditions that spark forest fires, from dry-lightning or man-made causes. Coastal areas are generally milder and dry during summer, under the influence of stable anti-cyclonic high pressure much of the time. Many areas of the province are often covered by a blanket of heavy cloud and low fog during winter, despite sunny summers. Annual sunshine hours vary from 2200 to less than 1300 sun hours per.
Much of the province is wild or semi-wild, so that populations of many mammalian species that, including a very wide range of birds, has also long been popular. Bears (grizzly, black, and the live here, as do deer, elk, moose, caribou, big-horn sheep, mountain goats, marmots, beavers, muskrat, coyotes, wolves, mustelids (such as wolverines, badgers and fishers), Cougar, eagles, ospreys, herons, , swans, loons, hawks, owls, ravens, Harlequin Ducks, and many other sorts of ducks. Smaller birds (robins, jays, grosbeaks, chickadees, and so on) also abound.
Healthy populations of many sorts of fish are found in the waters (including salmonids such as several species of salmon, trout, char, and so on.). Besides salmon and trout, sport-fishers also catch halibut, steelhead, bass, and sturgeon. On the coastlines, Harbor Seals and river otters are common. Cetacean species native to the coast include the Orca, Gray Whale, Harbour Porpoise, and Minke Whale.
The Barony of Caspycica-
West
The climate of Western Caspycica is determined largely by the Sea. It is a subarctic oceanic climate in the southwest and a continental subarctic climate farther north. The temperature is somewhat moderate considering how far north the area is. This area has a tremendous amount of variety, especially when considering precipitation.
Interior
The climate of the interior of Caspycica is best described as extreme and is the best example of a true subarctic climate. Some of the hottest and coldest temperatures in Empire occur around the area near SibuarusThe summers can have temperatures reaching into the 90s °F (near 34 °C), while in the winter, the temperature can fall below −60 °F (−51.1 °C).
North
The climate in the extreme north of Caspycica is what would be expected for an area north of the Arctic Circle. It is an Arctic climate with long, very cold winters and short, cool summers. Even in July, the average low temperature is barely above freezing in Urisini at 34 °F (1.1 °C).
The Barony of Anglana
Anglana's climate varies greatly from west to east. An oceanic climate (predominates in Eastern Anglana, and a much drier semi-arid climate prevails west of the Nechian Range. In the spring and summer, a high pressure anticyclone system dominates the north of Anglana Sea, causing air to spiral out in a clockwise fashion.
For Anglana this means prevailing winds from the northwest bringing relatively cool air and a predictably dry season. In the autumn and winter, a low pressure cyclone system takes over , with air spiraling inward in a counter-clockwise fashion. This causes Anglana's prevailing winds to come from the southwest, bringing relatively warm and moist air masses and a predictably wet season.
The Barony of Indysova
Indysova’s diverse geography ranges from the sandy beaches of the Imperial coast to the rugged, snow-capped Nechian mountains in the east. The central portion of the region is dominated by the Valley of Kings, one of the most vital agricultural areas in the country. The Valley of Kings is, home to the largest trees on Earth, the giant sequoia trees
The climate can be generally characterized by its marine to warm Mediterranean climates along the coast, to somewhat Continental Mediterranean Climate in the valley to alpine climate zones in the high mountains
The Barony of Namarcini
Namarcini's climate – particularly in the western part of the barony – is heavily influenced by the Royal Sea. The climate is mild, but periods of extreme hot and cold can affect parts of the Barony. In the western part of the Barony, are moist and mild, while the lightly populated high deserts of Central Namarcini are much drier.
