There's no single answer to that - it will always depend on the board situation and your overall strategy. You should generally develop the minor pieces (knight, bishop) first. In particular, clearing a path for your king to castle is a priority.

As white, I'm fond of starting with N-KB3 (Nf3), known as the Reti opening. That may not suit your style though.
