It really changed the whole dynamic of the game. We were forced to vote on the first day, and the way that vote was handled directly led to RC's lynching on the second day. That seemed to create a sense of confidence which lead to both my near-lynching and the revelation of the White King. Sure, that essentially ended the game, but was an awful lot of entertainment and drama in the first few days.
The best thing about UDP jokes is that I don’t care if you get them or not.

People claim these game far too much in advance... it discourages me from signing up to host since its such a long term commitment nowadays :/
I agree with you, Thomas but I also remember the mass confusion / brawls over who was in charge of the next game back in the day. And then the delays when people took a long time to get ready.

Indeed. It's kind of a win/lose situation. If we kept it to "Who wants to host after this game?" considering how popular the game has gotten, it'd be people arguing over it and that'd become a game within itself. Likewise, if we plan too far ahead, other potential hosts might be turned away. It's not too gigantic of a commitment, though. You sign on, do pretty much whatever you want to and figure out your schedule each month, and I send a PM after each game to get an update from the upcoming hosts. You really don't even have to start preparing until the month before your game starts. Other than that, it'd just be giving me an update in the PM I send if there's any drastic schedule changes that would prevent you from hosting during your month...to which I pretty much provide and keep everyone up to date in the PM as to when they could see their game potentially taking off.
