- The infiltrators are victorious when they are at least tied with the number of remaining vault residents.
Wait, shouldn't the game be over?
You're correct. I thought I'd make things interesting with this twist, which I've seen used in other games. While I feel like that logic makes sense, it goes against a very clear, explicitly stated game rule.
I apologize for the mistake. I blame running two larger games at the same time. It's going to be a while before I host again.
In the end, the Communists had one the war of Vault 48. When history would retell the story of Vault 48, how would it be remembered? Had the residents of the vault overcome the infiltrators, what would they really have won?
As their days in Vault 48 grew, the residents found themselves sacrificing their liberties in the name of defending democracy. Some residents called for a control over how the others communicated - self correction was soon punishable by risk of death. Even democracy itself, the ultimate liberty, was a requirement. The only choice the residents where ever given was who to kill - bloodied hands were madatory.
The residents of Vault 48 never asked how they could avoid killing. Despite hearing of the blood tests to identify residents, they opted instead to continue sending their brothers and sisters to their deaths. Even when they finally accepted their roles in their new 'democracy', their adjustments were too late. The Communists, who flourished in this system of false choice, seized the day.
In the end, one man's war caused another to bleed. War was, as it always has been, simply war. When it was not being fought with nuclear weapons, it was fought with words and elections. While the methods of war may have changed, the intent was always the same.
Because war, well, war never changes.
The Communist Infiltrators have won! Ater Nox - Security Officer Sheynat - Infiltrator Control - Infiltrator New Ecopia - Resident Elite - Resident/Overseer Ayunli - Infiltrator

Let the record show that I caught the rule violation that the host almost went though with. Regardless of how it played out, I won the game. I gave the win to the wolves by pointing it out, or the village wins because I chose the right successor.
Thanks Everyone I'll be The Best Minister of Immigration Possible

We weren't that close, the village was a utter mess. I Figured Sheynat and Control were spies, but really thought Ducky was the third. I don't think I would've voted to lynch Ayunli. Good job spies.
Veni, Vidi, Liberati
Where there is no vision, the people perish. - Pv 29:18
If Ater had managed to hit a Communist with that kill, as he had a 75 percent chance of doing, the residents would have probably gone on to win. Say he'd hit me - I was the next person he named for lynching. Control was the other leading suspect. Control would not have survived that day phase, and Ayunli would have to reduce the village to one player, by herself - after being quiet for most of the game. He had four suspects, knew there were three Communists, and he had to guess. He was just unlucky enough to guess wrong.
