Werewolf 46: Doctor Who & The Master Werewolf

The direness of the Time Lords’ situation was perhaps exceeded only by their collective rage and thirst to immediately avenge the horrific De-Generations of their colleagues. Anger and recrimination filled the High Council’s prison chamber within the Church of the Papal Mainframe.

 "It's him, it's him!" screamed one Time Lord pointing at another. “He’s always hated us, sarcastically calling us ‘politicians’ all this time. We should have known!”

“No, no,” came the frantic reply. “You misunderstand my words and deeds!”

“Perhaps,” was the retort of another. “But you seem not as distressed by our loss as we,” waiving toward the still smoldering TARDISes of the recently Dearly De-Generated.

And these were by no means the only accusations viciously thrown about. Nor was this targeted Time Lord the only one whose loyalty was strongly challenged. Nevertheless, in the end only he suffered the De-Generating wrath of the Gallifrey High Council of Time Lords. And he, ponem, was unfortunately found to be a Loyal Time Lord.

But there was precious little time for either pity or remorse. Suddenly a glistening bright light flooded the room, blinding the surviving members of the High Council. Its intensity was accompanied by a numbing sensation that quickly wove its way through the very core of all in its scope.

One Time Lord after another began to slip from consciousness and slump to the floor. Through the descending haze, the screams of at least one, maybe more?, could be heard through the dark fog of fading awareness that enveloped them....

Quite craftily, you make a lot of these "I didn't say that" statements. Just yesterday, when you made an argument for lynching me you pointed out that you were not voting to lynch me, while hoping that your words would motivate others to do so.
Your "evidence" to suggest that I want ponem dead is that I did not vote for him? By that logic I also wished for the death of Jin, because I didn't vote for him either. I only have one vote and I used that to vote for the player of whom I am now almost sure that he is a Blackguard: You!
By the way, ponem indeed wasn't blackguard. You voted to kill him. At least try to act as if you have a bad conscience about it, instead of turning my not voting for a loyalist into an argument against me. The fact that I have a better intuition about the players involved than you do does not make me the bad guy.
And even if I did know that ponem was a loyalist - which at the time I did not - that would not automatically make me blackguard.

You have to construct a vote against someone, so you take specific things he did, take them out of context and try to use them against your target, all the while hoping nobody notices the same arguments could just as easily be used against yourself. Just in the Houses WW game, I tried to use the same tactic to have W&S killed. It's classic wolf.

"You're correct, you don't have to be in the blackguard to have known that. You could be the Doctor, a member of the blackguard, or the seer/part of the seer's army. I did have lots of theories last game, yes. That's mostly because I knew what was going on and was there for a lot of it. Real life has hit very hard over the last couple of weeks so I haven't been able to be as active. I was gone for five days earlier in the game and I'm going to be gone for three more days on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The village has my sincere apologies.

Right now, though, I do have a theory.

Firstly, Vote: Jin for Lord President. Jin is to this game what I was to last game - a player who has delivered lots of vital information, including the identity of perhaps the most dangerous wolf to play this game. I don't think there's anyone else we can reasonably elect as Lord President.

Secondly, I think that both Louis and Palman are innocent. Louis was working with Echo for most of the last couple of phases and Echo was revealed to be the seer. This leads me to believe that Louis is a Loyalist who was working with the seer's army. Palman is playing exactly as he was last game - abounding with grandiose theories and risky moves. Many of them have not worked, but I think that such theories would be very difficult to make consistently from the position of a wolf. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I'm strongly of the belief that both parties there are innocent.

So, who do I think is a wolf? I think DoC is a wolf.

Let me explain: DoC last game was very brash. Partially that can be attributed to being a new player, but his tone is so far removed from that of the previous game, especially at the end, that it seems very odd to me. HOWEVER, he very quickly participated in the Ponem lynch vote, calling something very strange a "slip," and, working backwards, there's this:

"And who are you to make such a heinous accusation?? It seems to me awfully out there to suggest such a thing, based on almost no legitimate logistics. What, are you the seer? Because I see no other way you could possibly come to the conclusion of the Master Wolf's identity otherwise. I want to believe you, but I need more to go on than this hooblah." He pounds his fist on the table for emphasis.

He covered his tracks afterwards but this smells of something funny since Random was revealed to be the Master Werewolf.

DoC clears his throat irritatedly. "Good, presumably, councilman, I'd like you to recall that I attacked fairly kind after they irrationally elected me fot degeneration. Surely I can't be faulted for that knee jerk reaction. Id also like to point out that, unlike certain people here, I've only jumped onto bandwagons after I've been conned into them, as have the majority of us. If we're basin our voting now on who joined what bandwagon, then I believe every member here needs to be lynched, blackguard or not. But, that's not the purpose. The purpose is to find and eliminate these blackguard traitors before they do away with us for good. We've already lost several useful council members, we must be careful from here on out. Luckily, one blackguard has been eliminated, by her own volition. I'm curious as to why you and councilman aerso are still alive this late in the game, considering both of your expertise in these games?" He retakes his seat.

As does this. IIRC you were one of the first to vote in a lot of the bandwagons, especially early in the game. Unless you're extremely gullible or a wolf that's not a viable strategy without evidence, which is what the majority of early lynch votes are.

Jin, I trust you more than louis, so I wish to implore you to change your vote, as you are being led astray. Tell me how my playing style had changed, other than partaking of rp. Tell me why would I voluntary help ardreas, after he blew the identity of the Master Werewolf? Why would I be fighting so hard to protect this Council? Jin, it's not too late. Louis and palman have been having issues all game. Clearly, one of the two is a wolf and is pulling the strings. That seems to be Louis at this point, and W&S seems to be his cohort. Please don't fall for this. If we work together, we can eliminate one of them this very day. Take your pick, but please think about the consequences.

I think Jin has exonerated himself and I am nearly certain that Louis was/is a part of the seer's army. Check the previous couple days and look for yourself; Louis was very obviously working with Echo.

As far as the vote against me, it's not illogical. The first quote was when Random was called out by Ardreas. The second was an attack on Palman just because he was alive, which made zero sense because Palman has only played two games with us. There's no reason for the wolves to assume that he is a scary player yet because he hasn't been around long enough. Your actions also contradict your words in the second post. You have often been one of the first to vote in bandwagons against villagers. You were a good guy last game and stopped that behavior at the end of the game. Now you're doing it again despite saying that you aren't. That's a bad idea.

As for the whole Aerso thing, Aerso's name only came up once or twice before Jin revealed him. The first time he came under fire was because of my applying logic to the first-night Tierra kill, of whom Aerso and Ater were the ones that fit my criteria. The second time was Sauron. The only serious vote against Aerso I can find is when Sauron did it a day or so before Jin's revelation.

1) did you expect me to just take some random person's word that they were the seer and vote to kill whoever they pointed at? Yeah, that's a solid plan. (Sarcasm) it doesn't matter who was or was not called out, my response would've been the same.
2) I was not attacking Palman. Attacking him would look like what you're doing to me right now. I was more or less asking him and Aersoldorf to explain why they were still here, and with good reason as we can see. If you don't think I called aerso out too, please actually read the last sentence of my quote regarding them.
3) to adress the change in my playing style: wth does that even mean? Please give me an example of how my playing style has changed. Sorry DoC, not this time. I play this game the way I do because I don't make decisions or present theories until I'm sure of myself. Sometimes they're crazy sounding and sometimes they don't work, but just like last game I didn't move until I knew what was going on. I did the same here.

I'm sure of myself here. I'm sure you're in with the blackguard. You're panicking now, and your logic shows it. I didn't expect you to take some random person's word, but you should know from this game and last what happens to people who come forward with info like that. It's suicide for a wolf.
