What would you like to see in the 10000 Islands?

What kinds of things would you like to see in our region?

One idea that has been discussed is to start an economic system in this forum where nations earn money from holding office or being in TITO, etc. and then from their earnings they could add buildings to the skyline of their capitol city, or something like that. I don't know how something like that would work, but besides that, what do you want to see in the 10000 Islands?

For me, I would finally like to see a map.

Such a system is not close to being implemented. The staff issues would be discussed only after something like this is ready to start.

i cheched a region,i think it's the mediteranian...when some one join ,he can go to the map at choose a spot...
as we are one of the best regions in NS ,i think it's time to have one...we have to be perfect !

The Council has somewhat of a checks-and-balances. There are 4 elected senators and Grub-appointed ministers and Grub. That way, there are 4 elected and 4 Grub. The Delegate is more of the moderator in the middle. Other than that, there isn't a checks-and-balance because there is no way to have one. We only have the Council.

Well, perhaps a system of needing a certain amount of approval is something we could have or something where vetos could be made and overruled by Grub and the council?

Do they have a system where, for example, a veto by Grub or an approval by Grub can be vetoed by 2/3 of the council? Also, do all necessary issues go through the council?

i think it would be nice if we could go into the council of nine and watch procedings. we wouldnt be able to post anything, but it could be quite nice.

I can see why some people would want that, but that isn't going to happen. Sorry. We could, though, have the Senators prepare a report of the activities of the Council every month. It would basically be a recap of the month. Any interest in that?

There is a requirement for at least 5 of the Nine members to pass a proceeding. So far there is no law about Grub being allowed to veto things. If you would like to propose a statute, I'm sure the Council would be willing to look into that.

As knowledge is a very good think and could strengthen the power of a person, it can also be too powerful. From my experience in the Council, there is much discussed there that could weaken the plans of TITO and the 10000 Islands. Being able to see what they discuss there could be used against us by spies, etc. However, I agree that the general public should be allowed to see what they do in there. Therefore, I propose that once a week a member of the Council of Nine, chosen at the discresion of the Council, should make a small report about what is discussed. Even as much as a, "We didn't talk this week." would be fine. NAG, if you would like to take my thoughts and place them in a proposal, I am fine with that.

However, does every issue go through the council? Or sometimes does only Grub check over the problems?

Sometimes I act alone on issues that have to do with security or TITO (which the council doesn't rule over) or issues that need to be acted upon quickly.

Also, I think once a week is too often for a public council report. I think every 2 or 4 weeks is better.

Security issues are best handled by me and a few others, but are occassionally presented before the council. Regularly bringing issues like that before the council would only cause delays when decsions need to be made quickly and could possibly jeopardize operations elsewhere.

That would take too long though. Grub says, we go along with.

i think that there should be more political party action. i think non pp people should vote on which political party they like. then all the pp members who get voted get to sit on a panel and run more trivial maters or rp maters that the council and senate do not?cant deal with
