Liberate The Union of the Axis Powers

A resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers to free entry in a region.

The Security Council,

Nauseated by the continued presence of fascists in the world,

Repulsed that The Union of the Axis Powers openly claims itself to be fascist,

Deriding their support for other fascist organizations,

Cognizant of their relationship with a region which miserably failed to coup The North Pacific,

Aware the region is currently founderless and only protected by a password,

Working to ensure this region is destroyed as soon as possible,

Hereby liberates The Union of the Axis Powers.

I don't know. I would like to hear some more experienced opinions but this feels pretty vindictive. The region in question is quite small, and frankly in my opinion being a fascist region is not a crime worthy of being invaded. Definitely feels like it's the NPA looking for retribution after their war recently with whoever (CCD?) by taking it out on related regions.

I've voted DELEGATE'S PREROGATIVE.

I'm not generally opposed to raiding fascist regions although I'm not seeking to do it actively. I also understand and share TNP's grievance about the blatant effort by CCD to infiltrate their government. Efforts to infiltrate any government is serious, and given the empirical difficulties of securing GCRs this is especially true for these governments. I also take these efforts especially seriously when they are the governments of 10KI embassy partners and friends of the region. I will likely vote FOR on my personal nation.

However, this also seems like something where the 10KI Delegate vote should represent a more nuanced foreign policy for the region. More broadly, I believe in strong centralized foreign affairs powers for the WA Delegate. On many votes, there is not a direct foreign affairs implication so leaving the vote up to the forum poll is a democratic option. However, in this case, given the issues this resolution hits on, I'd like to leave 10KI's official vote in the hands of the WA Delegate.

I could also see this being a resolution where circumstances change rather quickly in one way or the other (e.g. what if the founder returns? etc.) and want to give the Delegate flexibility.

I feel that this condemnation is mostly based on past politics of the game, and so I am voting in favor of delegate's prerogative in this matter, despite my concerns about the unprofessional wording of the proposal.

This is definitely true but it's a fairly justified grudge. CCD directly committed an act of aggression against TNP by attempting to infiltrate their government in a long term strategy to secure being WA Delegate and turn the region into a CCD puppet state. Logs prove all of this. CCD was always a fascist region, but in this case CCD directly committed an act of aggression against TNP. I think it's pretty justified for TNP to seek to retaliate against CCD by targeting its embassy partners.

1) It does not. There is an executive founder and a non-executive WA Delegate. They will be banned immediately and unable to refound. Even if they refounded, the NPA will be trigger ready to refound the region with a new executive founder.

2) The Union of the Axis Powers was a fascist region that openly aligned with a region that has been known for a long time to be international bad guys. It was certainly news they tried to coup TNP but not shocking news. I would not be surprised if there are ongoing efforts to coup other GCRs. The unique, long-term, and problematic nature of the CCD means that I do not accept excuses that The Union of Axis Powers did not know they were couping TNP. You're right, they didn't know there was an effort to coup TNP. But they did know who they chose to open embassies with.

I'm also over the idea fascists get sovereignty. Fascism is not just an ideology of government, it is an ideology of hate. No milk and cookies for those who can speak meaningless ideological platitudes.

My personal congratulations to the NPA on a successful anti-fascist operation with a direct tie to a deliberate attempt to subvert TNP regional sovereignty. This is a justified response to an act of aggression by another region.
