The year is 2020, the setting is Mayor Louis' mansion along Mt. Palisades. The Mayor is currently there, enjoying some afternoon drinks with his comrades: Mark Night, Emry Nathaniel Anderson, Senator Gerald King, Governor Henry Tuga, Judge Dorian Rabil, and the mayor of the neighboring town of Tacopolis, Uriel Ventus. His wife Queenie is also there, sitting next to her husband. Watching from the outside are Mayor Louis' bodyguards, Aerso Dolfinson and Martin Grayson. Upstairs away from the crowd currently in their offices or on business calls are the mayor's adult children Ammon, Andy, and Echo.
It's summer time, and it's a sunny day at that to mark such a wonderful gathering of friends, as if the heavens themselves are smiling down on them.
Mayor Louis A Toast to the wonderful engagement of my friend Uriel and her lovely wife Vanessa who couldn't join us this afternoon.
Everyone raises a glass
Uriel: She sends her regards to everyone from her meeting in Wintropolis.
Mark: And here I thought you were never going to settle down with just one.
Everyone laughs
Uriel: So what about you Mark, have you found that special lady yet?
Mark: Hardy har Uriel, you know I can't just yet.
Emry: Is it about Felicia, Mark? You know you are allowed to move on, I'm sure she'd want it.
Mark: Yes, well, I'm just not ready yet. Anyways, we're celebrating Uriel's engagement!
Gerald: No no, don't try to change the subject Mark. I know this beauty from the office that has been dying to meet my friend that just happens to be a Nobel Prize winning scientist.
Mark: I'm sure that's the only reason she'd want to meet me.
Gerald: That and I'm sure she liked your picture on your dating profile.
Mark seems confused at this comment
Mark: What dating profile?
Gerald, Uriel, and Emry glance at each other as their eyes turn to Henry
Henry:Well...the fellas and I wanted to help you move back into the dating world, so we might have made you a profile.
Henry pulls out his tablet and shows Mark a profile of him on the popular dating app Lovr. Mark glances at it several times as if trying to understand it, but is more focused on his profile picture: an obviously doctored shirtless picture of himself.
Mark: That's not even my body in the picture, I look nothing like that!
Henry: Yes, well you have to embellish a bit to get the girls!
Mark sighs as he sets the tablet down
Mark: Look guys, I really appreciate it...but I'm just not ready for the dating world yet.
Mark gets up and walks out
Gerald: I guess now would be a bad time to tell him that I invited her over...

Hello Cast Members, and welcome to the Hallmark production of General Mountain Rescue.
Unlike what you may be used to with Werewolf, this won't be a bloodthirsty game full of killing and lynching. I mean, this is a Hallmark Drama/Soap Opera after all, and death doesn't happen in those unless it's offscreen and pushes the main characters forward somehow.
In this game, you'll be sending people offscreen so that you'll be getting the most screen time. The werewolves, on the other hand, are characters that will be moonlighting pesky Producers that insist on changing the show despite what the showrunners and creators want. Executive Producer Gilbert Grubson has made it clear that if you can find these producers and send them offscreen, you'll have the total creative control to take the show in the direction that you want.
Here are the roles that you'll be coming up against:
The Lead
The lead is the person who the cameras adore the most. During each Screen Test, they'll decide with the rest of the cast who to send offscreen once the camera starts rolling. During each Action Phase, they'll be given a different scenario by the Executive Producer to help spice up the show, and will make a choice that will affect the direction the show may go in. Being the lead, they'll share their win with the rest of the Cast if they win, but will not share the win if the Producers are the victors.
The Nobody
The Nobody is a completely new face in the business, with this gig being their start. They were cast in a better role because they had friends in high places, but they're actually not incredibly talented.
During a total of 3 Action Phases, they may end up screwing up so bad that nobody will be able to get anything done. In other words, during any 3 Action Phases, they can PM the Executive Producer and completely negate any power usage during the night. The Nobody has no alliance whatsoever with either side, and will share a win with either the Cast or the Producers as long as they remain alive.
The Secondary Lead
The Secondary Lead is the person that gets a lot of screen time, though less than they lead. But they're charismatic and love to take new people under their wing, insisting that they know the best way to train them to be better actors. During each Action Phase, they can give the Executive Producer the name of their choice. If their choice is a Cast Member, they can add them to their Troupe. If their choice is a Producer, they'll be so disgusted that they'll find a way to use that knowledge to get the producer kicked off the show without revealing that they know. After all, if the Producers knew who pegged them, they could easily find a way to get that actor blacklisted from ever finding work again.
The Supporting Cast
The Supporting cast are two well versed actors in smaller roles. As their name indicates, they're there to help prop up the other cast including the ensemble, and will do what it takes to make sure that the cast will make it through the show the way that they want it. During each Action Phase, they can both PM the Executive Producer their choice of an actor to protect from the wrath of the Producers. They each can choose one person, but they cannot protect themselves (but can alternate protecting each other). To keep things fresh in the show, they also can't protect the same person for two consecutive Action Phases.
The Ensemble
The Ensemble are the actors that are there to help propel the bigger actors during the show. During each Screen Test, they'll vote with everyone else as to who they believe should be taken off screen and thus out of the show. During each Action Phase, they'll be offscreen themselves temporarily while the bigger actors take the stage.
The Producers
The most disliked of them all, the Producers have their own plans as to how the show should go, despite what the director and showrunners want. To make things more difficult, they're also cast members in the show. But the Executive Producer has decided that if you can figure out who the Producers are and vote to get them offscreen, you'll be allowed to have total creative control of the show to go in whatever direction you want. During each Screen Test, they'll be voting amongst everyone to throw everyone off their trail. During each Action Phase, they'll choose as a group who to kick off the show.
And of course, even a show has to have its rules:
1) The first Screen Test will be 72 hours. Each Screen Test afterward will be 48 hours, with each Action phase being 24 hours. Phases will start and end in Pacific Standard Time. If you need an idea of what time that'd be for you, the example would be that once this topic is posted, it'll be around roughly 9:30PM to 9:45PM Pacific Standard Time. At the end of each Day Phase, the night phase will immediately start when the results from the Day Phase are posted, the same goes for the Night Phase.
2) When sent offscreen by the Producers, players will be invited to a PM to spectate the events of the game and talk amongst themselves. Players are also welcome to say goodbye in the thread once they're killed before moving to the PM. Dead players are not allowed to hint or make references to any roles they have any knowledge of (IE a dead Secondary Lead revealing a Producer).
3) The Supporting Cast know each other at the start, and can defend each other. They cannot defend themselves, nor can they defend the same person for two consecutive nights. If the Secondary Lead scans one of the Supporting Cast, they get both.
4) All Power Roles (Producers, Lead, Secondary Lead, Supporting Cast, Nobody) are forbidden from outright/hinting their roles, usage of powers (such as Supporting Cast stating in the game of their defense of someone), or prior knowledge of the roles of others (such as the Secondary Lead knowing a Producer) in the game thread. As the Golden Idol was chosen and "Role Restriction Rules" was the result, that means all power roles will have to rely on their wits and clever/compelling arguments rather than using their roles, power usage, or prior knowledge to give them an edge during the Screen Test/Day Phase. Likewise, anyone scanned by the Secondary Lead and put in the Troupe is subject to this same restriction. You'll be welcome to make as compelling an argument as you can, but cannot state/subtly hint that you have any prior knowledge of the roles of those in the troupe or Producers/Nobody. Failure to follow this rule will result in either the removal of your power or revealing your role to the Producers.
5) You won't be allowed to vote to kick no one offscreen, but you are allowed to be chivalrous and vote for yourself...just be aware that voting for yourself could have devastating consequences, such as starting an unintended bandwagon against you.
6) To vote during each Screen Test, be sure to bold your vote, IE Vote: Send Barry Offscreen
7) During each Action phase, Power Roles (Lead, Secondary Lead, Supporting Cast, Producers, the Nobody) will send the Game Host a PM with their choices that night. Producers will decide as a group, Supporting Cast will choose individually (but can strategize their choices together), the Secondary Lead will decide soley (but can consult with any known allies in the PM on who to choose), and the Nobody/Lead will make their choices solo (though if they're in the Secondary Lead's troupe, they can strategize with them).
8 ) It is highly...highly recommended to not edit your posts (the game host being the only exception). Editing posts can be seen as witholding important information, and thus seen as incredibly suspicious. So while it isn't against the rules persay, just don't do it. It's very encouraged to keep your posts as is, regardless of any typos.
9 ) The Show will begin in a 72 hour Screen Test, and will start once the PMs have been sent and a notification from me popping up after all those PMs have been sent.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask in here or send me a PM. In the meantime, while I'm sending out the PMs you all have time to decide how you'd want to have your last scene if you're chosen to be kicked off the show. You can PM me with how you want to go out, and if you get kicked off, your ending will be tailored to such a way. Remember that this is a Hallmark/Soap Opera drama, so you'll want to think of some tragic way to go out that would propel the other characters to want to carry on without you.
I'll be sending out the PMs now. Feel free to talk until then, and then I'll post the notice when all of them have been sent out.
And let's make this a memorable show for all those Hallmark bingers to weep at!
