Ready to make one small step for a nation-state and one giant leap for nation-state-kind? To attempt a launch, first make sure you've purchased all the required or optional space shop items and read over the rules here. Then, fill out the following form (Select a target lunar territory by picking a numbered territory off the maps here and here.):
Launch type: lunar colony/lunar probe
Target lunar territory number:
Have you had a successful launch of any type before?: yes, lunar probe/yes, lunar colony/no
Number of Science items bought:
Number of Economy items bought:
Nations may only buy 6 total Science and Economy items combined.
Are you in a space race?: yes/no
If so, with which other nation:

Launches can have three results:
- Success: The probe or colony reaches the moon.
- Failure: The probe or colony has a problem that Houston can't fix and fails to reach the moon.
- Scrubbed: The launch is not attempted, for the reasons below. This does not count as a failure, and the nation will not suffer any consequences, other than a month of delay.
All planned launches are attempted once a month, at the beginning of each month. The order of launch attempts each month is not based on who posts first. Instead, nations with the most combined Science and Economy items (up to 6) will go first each month. Ties will be broken randomly.
Lunar probes can land in any territory on the moon (including both unrevealed territories and territories already colonized by another nation). Lunar colonies can only be launched at unoccupied territories. If two nations attempt to colonize the same territory in the same month, and the first launch is successful, the second launch will be scrubbed. If a nation mistakenly targets a territory for a colony that is already claimed, the launch will also be scrubbed.
Lunar probes have a 65% base chance of successfully landing on the moon for every launch. Because they are more complex, lunar colonies only have a 50% base chance of success every launch. For lunar colonies only, a nation's first three failed launches will result in one of their space shop items worth less than 100,000
