Taco Island Charities' Jabberwocky Newsroom Stipends

At a time when journalism, especially online journalism, often struggles to stay afloat, TIC wants to support the engaging and informative work that helps our regional democracy and culture thrive. For this reason, TIC is proud to offer Jabberwocky Newsroom Stipends! From May 1, 2020 onward, any publicly available publication will receive up to 20,000 :-X

per issue or per month with an issue published, whichever is less frequent. The publication is free to use or distribute its stipend however it wishes. TIC will determine the amount of the stipend for each publication based on its longevity, number of contributors/editors, and contribution to the Islands' culture and discourse.

This program has been named for Jabberwocky, whose generous contributions to TIC have funded this and other activities.

I published on a sub-board of Taco Island. In order to get a sub-board, you must request permission here: 10000islands.proboards.com/thread/28601/threads-edited-moved-locked-stickied. It takes an administrator to set one up.
However, you might not get one until you have the business license and a product, i.e. newspaper. In any event, it doesn't hurt to ask.
