At some point, I completely lost track of people and power roles, I litterally stopped playing for a day or two. Granted, I did have a lot going on at work, so it may not have been the game alone. But this was certainly a lot more complicated and confusing than ususal. In a way, that was fun. In another way, it was frustrating.

Thanks for running this Palman I really enjoyed it.
I think there was a few too many scanning roles and once you were able to unite them pretty much every role was identifiable.
I think a way to rebalanced that would be it'd require two nights of scanning the same person to be able to message. Since the red Knight takes 2.nights to convert a follower.
I'm pretty sure that Sauron is in the clear, unless he decided to go all genius again
The Silmarillion; Chapter 19: Now Sauron knew well, as did all in that land, the fate that was decreed for the hound of Valinor, and it came into his thought that he himself would accomplish it. Therefore he took upon himself the form of a werewolf, and made himself the mightiest that had yet walked the world.

That's an excellent idea! If I do use the general concept for a sequel, I may steal this idea!

It was fun while it lasted, and actually for a bit longer since I was still trying to help the Red team from the grave, albeit with little success.
I'm sorry for that, Aerso...

Not your fault at all. I had a pretty spectacular set of coincidences going my way, but once Inquista got lynched it was pointless for me to continue trying to get Wich to make a claim that would get them lynched. They didn’t really cling to anything I said in the afterlife thread and I credit you for keeping them from trusting me at all. Still a bit scary how many of my lies there seemed plausible as more information became known in the game thread.
I’ve already addressed some issues with Palman privately, but overall I really enjoyed the game and story.
I agree that there were too many roles with the power to scan and I also feel that it taking two days to add a new member to the red team was a serious disadvantage. If I had known on day one that we were allowed to role reveal then I’d have encouraged everyone to do so then and the game would have ended on day one or possibly two at the latest. If any host of a future game wants to assign a specific role to each player then I’d strongly encourage them to make role reveals illegal. This is not intended as a criticism of Palman, I love the fact that we encourage each host to develop their own roles, rules and themes. However, I also think that we should learn lessons from each game and try to build on what works well and avoid any problems that occurred.

I have played many games of Town of Salem (a game very similar to WW) and have found that role revealing is only really balanced under certain conditions. Some of these include 1: not having anyone in groups besides the bad guys making it harder to confirm 2: only having scanners being able to narrow down the roles so far ex. only being able to narrow down the Red King to the Red King, Billy Borden or Michael or a simple guilty or not guilty. 3: having bad guy roles that can disrupt the legitimacy of those who can scan each other ex making it so a bad guy can make one person a night look guilty to a seer if they are scanned 4: less important but still a fun twist that you can pull is to make it so that if anyone wants to pm someone they have to post in the thread that they are whispering to them (it increases suspicion of those who try to make bonds with each other. I don't know how practical this would be in the forum style that is used but is a fun mechanic to see at work on the web game)
If anybody who wants to host a game wants to see what I'm talking about you can just search up Town of Salem on youtube or I have some codes to play a couple matches for free if you want to see how some of the roles work or some of the other mechanics (It is much faster pace then on here just a heads up so you might get a little confused at the start)
