6ixDaze, aka Falconias checking in here. Hello friends
To bring you up to speed, we have "refounded" the FRA as "Founderless". Yes, the region title is somewhat ambiguous, but we wanted to recreate the spirit of the FRA as a region instead of an interregional organization, as I felt that was the root cause of our downfall long term; being reliant on member regions to prop up our activity while also asking them to give up some of their autonomy was always a tough sell.
We are in our first official term, and our leadership is currently as follows:
6ixDaze - Executive Director
Karputsk - Defence Director
Numero Capitan - Intelligence Director
Wabbitslayah - Foreign Affairs Director
Flowering Staplers - Communications Director
Jamie - Social Director
As you can see, we dug up some fossils for our leadership core.
Looking forward to patrolling the fields of battle with our 10KI friends once again.

HELLO 10KI! It's me! WS! Also known as Velvet Elvis in my new capacity as Foreign Affairs Director for Founderless! Contrary to popular belief, we are NOT dead and the collection of old fossils (as Klop so accurately described it) has a couple new additions. Here is our first foreign update, brought to you by Sedge's casual shade-throwing, a car shoved into a dumpster, and a wooden bear, among other things.
Update #1. The last one doesn't count.
We're still here!
Yes, for those of you who thought Founderless was nothing but a really late April Fools' Day joke, you were WRONG. We might not have done anything. We may have nearly closed the place down. But we're BACK. And better than ever. That may be setting the bar quite low, but we have to start somewhere. On which note:
Sedge is Unretired
-ish. Yes, I'm writing these updates, because 1) I'm the best at it, and 2) no-one else wanted to. As a Game Mod I have to be careful* with what I say. For the sake of balance, I will therefore stick to subtly undermining Founderless via satire until such time as they cotton on (my money's on 2022; if the place is still around). I'm not actually defending. Or doing any real work, I'm just here to point and laugh.
End of an Era
Our esteemed and now erstwhile leader 6ixDaze has stepped down as Executive Director. Note: this is the person formerly known as Falconias, who decided to re-brand because that name was the embarrassing concoction of a teenager. And then picked "6ixDaze" as his grown-up identity. We thank him for his service, and he's now been shuffled off to the retirement home position of "Recruitment Director" where his new, mature persona will surely help him relate to the young players flooding onto NationStates.
6ixDaze's term was summed up by one wholly impartial observer as "not being quite as disastrous as his time as FRA Arch Chancellor", which seems fair, though it doesn't really take into account that Founderless never really had much to ruin. For a Falc term we're rating this a solid 4.5/10.
Beginning of a Better Era
Founderless' new Board of Directors has been rejigged to the following:
Executive Director: New Cordian Empire Defence Director: Karputsk Intelligence Director: Numero Capitan Foreign Affairs Director: Witchcraft and Sorcery Recruitment Director: 6ixDaze Communications Director: Sedge Social Director: Jamie
This was announced with all the proffesionalism you've come to expect of us:
Sorry, I don't know New Cordian Empire or Witchcraft and Sorcery well enough to poke fun at them. Working on that. Jamie's main job as Social Director will be to massage the bruised egos of Board members who have read this update.
Missing Persons Alert
Our Intelligence Director disappeared approximately two days ago, and for professional reasons I probably shouldn't joke about why. However, we do need him back. We're therefore issuing this alert to all invader regions - please check in with your members to see if Numero Capitan is among you. He answers to many names, including:
Daytime to Night Ursidae's Dad Red Back Natipac Oremun Shell Jak wait, I'm not going there
If you find him, please let us know and take good care of him in the meantime. Rumours that this is all staged and he's going deep undercover are strenuously denied.
Bear With Us
The Founderless Rangers have been relatively quiet of late, but Defence Director Karputsk has assured us that plans are afoot. His team have been spotted from afar building a large wooden bear on wheels, which is intended to be gifted to The Black Hawks. Please take it into the Council chambers, where it can stand for evermore as a token of our trust and mutual respect.
Here's something to warm your hearts whilst you await its delivery:
Other Stuff
We don't have a Security Council Director, but if we did, they'd be working on Liberate The New Inquisition
Any regions that have embassies with Founderless can enjoy reading this again on their forums when it gets posted there. Sorry, 10KI will have to wait for someone else to do that for me... I think I'm still banned from their forums for the Devonitians coup :?
If they let me post another, the next update will be in about a month.
* having reached this footnote after reading the rests of the update, you may disagree.

Update #2. Falc's one still doesn't count.
Population Milestone
At the time of our last update, our population was not very much. We've now smashed our recruitment target and hit 100 nations - and we're still growing! Next target is to overtake Lone Wolves United oh wait, we already did that. Hmm, The Order of The Grey Wardens are on 160 nations - it's about time someone knocked them off their "3rd most significant defender region" perch 8)
Founderless population or Onder's blood pressure?
Regions infiltrated, invaded, destroyed, and re-founded as a glorious trophy of our might: one; Regions defended: not sure
On January 12th, Founderless welcomed new nation Gorlend to the region. Pretty soon after, we realised we shouldn't have. After a short period of hyperactivity, he declared war on Falconias (which to be fair, we can understand), then left to found his own region World Authoritarian Nations dedicated to our destruction. Well we couldn't let a slight like that stand, so we activated our crack intel agents, who used years of experience in the field to infiltrate the region deep undercover as Dnelrog, Saipotgnimmel and more.
Utilising all their cunning, within minutes our agents had risen quickly to key Regional Officer positions - and we might have left it at that. Except Gorlend then started flying a Nazi-esque swastika, so at update he and the rest of his puppets were booted, and the region World Authoritarian Nations refounded as the first outpost of the glorious Founderless Empire (next up: The New Inquisition - we keep teasing it, you'll see it happen some day. If we keep this up they may even declare war on us!).
We did actually defend some places
The Rangers have been hyperactive at update, with a steady presence on chasing and detagging ops. The standout op was the liberation of [region]The New Commonwealth Society[/region], for which our Foreign Affairs Director Velvet Elvis/Witchcraft and Sorcery was trigger. He's also been running around 50 detags per update, putting our new recruits through their paces so we actually have something to back up the smack talk.
Elections Incoming
Founderless has elections - sorry, a "Members General Meeting" (thanks for that enthralling name, Falc) coming up in February - our first proper set of elections, which will choose the new Board of Directors. Five positions (Executive Director, Foreign Affairs Director, Recruiting Director, Communications Director, and Social Director) are up for grabs (Defence Director and Intelligence Director are apppointed by the Executive Director) and we've already had several regional members express interest in running for positions.
The current term has been a success so far, with Falconias' term as Recruiting Director probably the standout. Yes, I said something nice about him. FRAME IT AND PUT IT ON YOUR WALL, FALCY BOY!
Minor Stuff:
[/a] to residents of NationStates. If you aren't aware of the situation, get out from under that rock and scroll back a couple of pages. [*]In a disgusting abuse of power, Falconias has moved the Voice Chat to the top of the Discord server's channel list, clearly demonstrating to all his unsuitability to holding any position of responsibility. [*]We were going to theme this update around RiderSyl's "Fun Removed Alliance" comment from last month, but we didn't have time between hosting mandatory moralising classes for new novitiates and memorising all 72 verses of Klopstock's Ode to the Rangers.[/ul]
