Season 3: Collective Inflation Plan

Greetings Cards Co-op members!

Season 3 of cards is expected to come out around the end of November or early in December, so in about 2 weeks.

One project I have proposed for Season 3 is to pick a 10000 Islands card to collectively inflate to a set price throughout the course of the season, I am suggesting 15 bank as something that it is likely we can actually sustain over the course of a season.

In order to accomplish this, we must first select a card to inflate. In order to do this, we'll do some nominating and then some voting. Nominations will last from now until November 20 and then voting will last from November 20 to November 24 in order to select the card to inflate.

To nominate a card, post in this thread. Cards must be of nations in 10000 Islands which are not expected to be Legendary in Season 3.

I went for modern XKI Delegates who are still in the region and had successful terms. A few Delegates were excluded due to CTEing or leaving the region. A few Delegates were excluded (e.g. Paffnia and Kuriko) because they will likely be Legendary.

Call me contrarian, but I care more about having certain cards than the market value of them. And so I'm confused why we would inflate the value of a prominent Islander card, which may end up in the Islanders who want to own it (who will be disproportionate to non-Islanders, if it's an important XKI card) paying more to get it.

So, my theory here is more to create a collective project for us all to work on throughout the season more than it is to inflate the value of a certain card or DV - those are unreliable indicators of card farming success and people who are seeking higher DV should invest in more sustainable investments than an inflated card anyways. The reason to do it is just it's a fun community building exercise.

If we're worried about cards in our community becoming too exclusive, we could pick a card of a friend in another region instead.

Cards could get pulls every three days or so, and a bunch of card farmers are expecting that there’d be a lot of XKI regional collectors for S3. This is my basis for believing that there would be enough of these cards in circulation to allow us to have the majority, while still letting others own them, too.

That said, I’m going to nominate S3 Controlitia, since there’s neither an S1 alternative, nor an S2 one.

This would be an obvious choice but unfortunately we can't because BigTex will almost certainly be a Legendary in Season 3. There's no other single stand out candidate for a friend of XKI either, sadly
