This week’s debate will be on schools Schools are increasingly having more technology in them - smartboards, computers to every student, virtual content (especially now during a pandemic) Do you think this increase in technology is good? And should there be more technology incorporated into schools? Why or why not? Debate in the thread!
I think that this increase in computers is good - students can now study and progress through their own way, and their learning experience can be, at least a bit more tailored to their needs. For instance, 3D printers are at hand for students who would like to work with design technology.

I think the overuse of mobile devices can be harmful to children's health. Children who spend more time inside on their phones or tablets don’t spend as much time running and playing outside. They establish habits of technology use that doesn’t involve exercise. Many students today can see their grades take a hit when they spend more time with technology. Increasing technology usage means less time spent on homework, and the kind of developmental changes technology can bring can make students struggle with homework like reading and writing.

AxeCapital, that is correct. Anyone without technological know how will be disadvantaged. Even if that technology will become obsolete.

I think there should be a balance, useing technology to much in schools can lead to bad things for students, but it’s also an easier way to teach, so I think a good balance is just the right thing

As a high school student, I can confirm that having my own computer is a great thing - and allows me to work much more efficiently. It also allows me to play more NS. This post is, in fact, made from my school computer.
