So I realize the plan since I first snagged the game was to do a big special anniversary special to celebrate the 75th (sort of like First's Awards show but with extra chaos). However, the last Werewolf made me realize that with the player count, that might not be the best approach. So I'm here presenting a purely Vanilla game that has the tendency to grow along with the player base. The more players it gets, the more unique the mechanics will become. But if the player count is like the last game, then it'll still play as a typical Werewolf game with the standard townie/seer/defender/wolf roles.
That being said, let's talk Werewolf!
------------------------------
Today we have a special going on in the video game section of Electronics: a free copy of Werewolf for those who are wanting to play it. And if you act now, we’ll even throw in one of our 2 year contract phones at no extra cost. Just stop on by, and as always thank you for shopping at your local neighborhood Walmart!
Yes that’s right folks, it's sales galore time! So get your coupons and stereotypical trashy reality show behavior on, because during your time here at our store there may be people scouting for new material for the People of Walmart website (Yes that's a real website).
And thank goodness you’re signing up for our game during our fabulous Black Friday event that we’ve decided to push all the way back to the months of February/March. Not at the very least because it gives some reason why such a game would exist in the first place. Rather than debating and voting like sensible people, you’re more likely shoving and yelling like children because you want that perfect gift rather than letting the other snot-nosed bratty adult next to you get it first...well actually, you're more likely the ones having to deal with such behavior since you're the employees, not the customers.
While you’re here, you can also stop by the incredibly mediocre deli where you don’t know where their hands have been before they decided preparing your food, or meet our selection of bakers and cake decorators where you just wonder where their life went wrong that they’re using their skills in our stores.
But beware, because much like there’s the legit employees and management team on the out...there’s also those vile folks that come in here to check our prices just so they can sell for even lower at their own stores...the monsters. Let’s show them why we’re the best in the business!
-------------------------------------------------------
So if you haven’t guessed, this is a game centered around Walmart, a popular US chain of “Superstores” that has branched out globally. This is a pretty vanilla game in that you have your employees (the townies), you have your Team Leads (Defenders), and you have your Loss Prevention manager who oversees it all (Seer). You also have the super iffy “Secret Shoppers” that are really spies from other stores that are looking to bring the company down (Wolves). Be on the lookout, for depending on how large the player-base gets we may end up seeing other roles such as the Cashier, Janitor, District Manager, or Vendor pop in for a play as well...but this is completely dependent on the amount of folks we get, and if we get the standard amount (9-11), we'll be looking at the purely vanilla setup.
Rules themselves are very basic, and will be added to if the before mentioned power roles appear:
1) Day/Night Phases (aka Morning Meetings/Performance Reviews) will go the normal 48/24 installments, with the first set going 72/48.
2) The dead can have a goodbye post, but cannot mention any info they’ve gotten if they were a power role.
3) Role claims are banned, character claims are not. You can claim being Sam Walton, but you cannot claim being the Walmart CEO, as an example.
4) Votes should be bold and on a separate line, as always. Votes that aren't bold will not be counted.
5) Remember the 10ft rule with customers and remember the Happy to Help motto.
6) Editing posts makes you look suspicious, so don’t do it. If need be, just post again.
7) Any employee who fails to attend the Morning Meetings twice in a row may be mod-killed.
8) As we have spies from other stores trying to learn our secrets, please keep the game talk in the game, and please keep the private employee discussions to ones that are watched over by the Store Manager, aka the Game Host.
9) Fun is advised, but also remember that you’re on the clock.
10) All roles are randomly decided and are chosen by the players at the start.
Signups will last a week (February 16th), or until we have at least 9 players. If anyone has any questions, feel free to post them in here.
In the meantime, simply post in here with your interest to play.
