Regional Royalist Party (RRP)

The time has come for me to launch my own political party... and this is it! The Regional Royalist Party is a party for all the Caliphates, Kingdoms, Queendoms, empires, shogunates, grand princedomes etc. in the 10000 Islands! We have yet to write a longer list of party opinions, as we are a new party, but we hope to engage in debates soon.
Alfonia is the founder of this party, and is also a non-UN nation, and can therefore not candidate to become delegate. For the time being the RRP has no interest in running for delegate or any other position as the party isn't complete yet, but we would like to clarify that if Alfonia wishes to do so, it will be through Sealhunters, its puppet nation.
For the time being we do not need a forum etc. as we have only 4 full time-members...


"1. Citizen nations of The 10000 Islands shall be all UN member nations resident in The 10000 Islands. Since non-UN nations may be multiple proxies of UN nations, they shall be accepted as non-citizen residents due the full protection and liberties of The 10000 Islands."

Our answer to this:
There are non-UN nations that are at least as active as UN nations in the 10000 Islands, and not all of them aren't in the UN based on their own choice. We think that any non-UN-nation that has posted 200 posts or more on the 10000 Islands forums shall be considered citizens, since they have proven that they are indeed active. Granting them citizenship is not that much of a deal, right? (Of course these 200 posts shouldn't be achieved through spam, since spamming is not allowed anyway.)

"2.2.1. Any nation that is not a member of TITO shall not be eligible for election to become the UN Delegate of the 10000 Islands. Furthermore, any non-TITO nation which at anytime receives more than half the current endorsements of the serving UN Delegate shall be subject to ban from The 10000 Islands for a period of 48 hours."

We wouldn't be against a change of 2.2.1, but we accept it as it is now as well.
Who would you vote for? A person that has proven him/herself in battle for the 10000 Islands or someone that hasn't? Most of us would probably vote for the TITO candidate, so there is little risk that we would elect a non-TITO delegate anyway, because of this 2.2.1, may seem unimportant, but if it is unimportant we can just as well leave it as it is without having to go through the work and change it.

We would like to formally make the 10000 Islands a constitutional monarchy, in which the founder or some other important person would be the king. We would also like knighting ceremonies, but that's not as important. Some might say that this doesn't matter that much, but we think that it would give a nice feeling to the 10000 Islands, we are the royalist party after all.
Of course we would like to see Grub as our king, but he'll decide that.

We want more debates in the political parties forum. This would help nations who don't belong to a party to decide which party to vote for. It would also give the 10000 Islands a more serious political climate, but we must always remember to be friends, since this is only a game after all.

We know very well that everyone endorses who they want in delegate races and so on, but our opinion is that we shouldn't use the regional message board to tell other nations who we support, we think that a thread in the Political Parties forum would be better suited for this. Such a system would be more similar to the normal constitutional monarchy system, but it would still allow Grub to publically endorse whoever he likes, hopefully it would also make the political parties forum more active.

I'll join. However, I must debate on the issue of Gun ownership and the death penalty. I mean, if a Prince can't kill a guy for not worshiping in the Church of Parthini then what is the region coming to! And ever sane person should be able to have a handgun. Not like an Uzi. Like a Glock, to take out the Chainsaw murderers.

Aside from that, Parthini would be glad to join the RRP!

Well of course our philosophy is that the king/prince and so on stands above the law, so he could kill pretty much everyone he likes, as long as it is remotely defendable, but generally I do not like the way murderers and such are executed, too many of them are innocent. Of course you can execute people all you want in your nation, as long as people are judged fairly.
I agree about the guns, small sidearms should be allowed.

Well the only real demand is that all members have some sort of royalty in their country, but I think we should suggest that all member nations are fairly right-wing, not have it as a rule though.
Below is a list I made up fairly quickly some time ago, but it works pretty well to determine if your country is right or left-wing. Anything left of Scandinavian Liberal Paradise would probably be better off joining another party.

Where RRP is on the political compass...

The party is somewhere between -3 and 3 on the Authoritarian/Libertarian scale, and between 6 and 10 on the economic left/right scale.

Think of this before you join, if you are too far away from these recommendations you might not always agree with the party...

I would very much like to join your party. However, my nation is technically run by a President. We hope this is not seen as a problem because two of the Cabinet positions are positions of royalty. The King/Queen of the Isles is the head of the Senate and third in the line of succesion. Also, a Grand Duke is appointed by the King/Queen to oversee the House of Representatives.
