Ok, we need to start this early in light of renewed ACN pressure. If there is anyone in the UPP who would like to stand in Jesioneka's old seat then that'd be great. A show of hands We will also use this thread to discuss strategy etc.

Oh that's fantastic Enig! I wanted to nominate you to run but was worried that you already had too much to do with IMM and AoN. I think you'd be a great candidate and hopefully Senator. I pledge my full support and will help to telegram XKI UN nations , pay for advertising etc. Sinn, will you give us a review of how the advertising costs work please? ( How much for what kind of message).. Is Neo Sheynat running for relection? Some one tell me the names of the districts that will be up next election please..
Of course, I will miss Enig if he becomes a Senator, as the greatest Patrician AoN ever had...Can UPP suggest who they might like to fill his boots in AoN if he wins the Senate election?

Thank you G&B. Your support means a lot. I do have quite a bit on my plate right now, both NS and RL, but by May school will be out and I will have some more time on my hands. Of course I think I'm handling things well now, but then again exams are coming up in a couple weeks. Ah, forget my ramblings. The point is I want to be a senator. I think I'm capable of doing the job and it's time I move up in the world. Or at least try to. With the support of all you guys out there I'm sure I can pull it off. Wow, look at me. I'm already starting to sound like a politician ;D

I will probably not run. Probably. I never decide until the last minute. However, in this case, I'm starting college in August, so it's going to be a while before I can devote enough time to the Islands to consider a Council role again. So, if somebody's willing to step up to the plate, I'll get out of their way.

The ACN are talking about taking two seats. One I know is for Senator. Is the other one also for senator?? Should message all the UPP members and ask if they want to run for the other seat. We shouldn't divide our parties vote by having another UPP member run against Enigmatic.

Ok, so we have Enigmatic running on behalf of the UPP for a senate seat.

So we need someone else to run for the other Senate seat.
I checked the UPP member list to see who we could nominate.

Unless, one of the senior members wants to run. I think the following would have a good chance of winning.

MinnaCaroline or Lockerica.

What do you other UPP members think.

I would support either of those candidates if indeed they are interested in running, and neo sheynat decides not to rerun.
Minna was appointed Dean of the Uni, and as the MOE hasn't got that togethor yet, it might not look to great on a resume..(no fault of Minna's). Lockerica, though quite new to XKI has been quite vocal and demonstrated a good bit of chutzpah both in AoN and IMM. Please keep your consideration caps on as to who I might appoint as AoN patrician if Enig is elected..

This senate election I'd really like to see the UPP candidates be quite expressive about their platforms.

Wow. Great response. Yes, we've been muted in our recent campaigns. This must end here. We need to stamp out the fact that our candidates are good. The biggest weapon we have at our disposal is IMM totals. Enigmatic and Lockerica have the most new successful recruits in the least time. This most boring aspect of all work in 10KI shows their dedication to the region more than any words can. Just look at the IMM star pages.

Enigmatic has my full support.

I am assuming he is to run in Jes' old seat.

Therefore, we need a backup candidate incase Shey decides not to run. I think Minna and Locke are both grand choices, although as i mentioned above, the IMM totals are pretty key. Min isn't as active as Locke, so i think Locke stands a better chance. However, this isn't to underrate Min's dedication. I think she'd be good in the AoN Cabinet, although of course my knowledge of this area is limited.

I'd be willing to run, but I think Minna should have the chance if she wants it first. She's been here longer and people know her better, if she wants to run then she should do it.

Well that's good to know. As an older UPP member you'd have a good basis to run yourself Chelodia, however i think perhaps we'll let you 'mature' like a cheese for a bit first.

I'd be happy to run but as Sinn stated I'm not as active as Lockerica, and he might be the better candidate. I am quite flattered that you would think of me and I would love to do it! So if you decide Lockerica would be better I'll happily support him as well.

I don't want to tear Locke away from his wonderful IMM work, so if he's happy to sit it out this time then you will be our backup incase Shey doesn't run. Any objections from anyone?

Of course, for whoever it is decided will run, the amount of dedication required will be fairly high. The senators themselves should be active in as many aspects of the region as they can be.

As per my former post, I think Minna should run, since she is happy to do it. She's more experienced and a great contributor to 10KI, as well as being a very likeable personality. Minna has my full support.
