What are the UPP members view on "Official Opposition Act 15-B".
I think it could be good but could also be bad. It all depends on who is opposition leader and if he uses the post to really help members or further his particular ideology.
ALP is currently running for opposition leader. Is he a UPP member or is he going to join the ACN?? It would be good if the opposition leader was neutral when it came to political parties. That way they would help everyone no matter there ideology.

I will check out the act. ALP is no longer a UPP member. He is considering joining the ACN.
EDIT: The act is a little confusing. How can one nation be elected as official opposition leader within the AoN? The bit i don't get is this: What if the opposition leader actually votes for a piece of legislation, as he or she is entitled to? Gambi, can you shed any light on the subject?

there are two parts to the opposition act. The first part already passed, where AoN decided that they would elect an Opposition leader to negotiatate and discuss opposition, this can be either Opposition to voting results from the Co9 on AoN proposals, or opposition to new AoN proposals (either internal affairs- or discussions). It quite seems that at this point ALPMACO is shoe-in candidate for the position. Opp act Part B- includes the future Opposition leader as a member of the AoN cabinet, and this part of the Act seems to be NOT obtaining approval from the AoN. Personally, I voted for the first part, and the leader but not part B, as I believe Opposition discussions when possible should be public and because the cabinet is not a place for debate but rather a place for officials to coordinate plans and solutions and communication that help AoN run smoothly.
