thought I'd start a fresh one..in the other thread San Juan's capital mentioned he might be running as a UPP candidate for Lyonesse East..I hope this continues to be case because Co9 could certainly use a formidable majority in Co9. Right now Co9 has Sinn, Neo Sheynat and myself from UPP. If we got another Senator in place for Lyonesse East, AND the UN delegate, then UPP could have an effectual majority (if I obtain reelection-which isn't a given as the last election was very close..)...This is important because then Co9 might become a little more progressive...However, I heard a chinese whisper that Jesioneka might be running for the delegate position..if he does and wins it, his position as Senator will be up for grabs (he can't have two votes in Co9). So...what's UPP's formal stance on this election?

The UPP will hopefully field San Juan Capital if he wishes to run still. The UPP will officially support Jesioneka to run as delegate. There are rumours of an alliance/him joing the UPP, though these are just rumours, admittedly circulated by myself
If Jes' seat is up for election should he become delegate, then we must think who should run for it....
EDIT: ALP is thinking of running for delegate. so the race will be contested.

I've asked Grub why San Juan's request to run for Senator of Lyonesse East was neglected but ALP's was not.* Personally I don't have a prob with multiple UPP members running for office, though it renders official UPP endorsing dicey...errr..Sinn? IF Jesioneka becomes UN Delegate, and as his campaign isn't being contested, atleast currently, remember that his Senate seat will become up for grabs. ( Co9 members can only have one seat in Co9) *Grub put him on the list...
