I want some help...I was thinking of changing my national animal, but I don't know what to choose. Think you guys can help me? A little info on each of the species in Vasylonia:
1. Badger
What was once a very common animal in Vasylonia, living in large numbers on the gentle mountain slopes. They were hit hard by the recent volcanic eruption, and there are currently less than 8000 of the critters on Vasylonia. However, they are swiftly rebuilding their numbers. They have been the national animal for almost 200 years.
2. Muskrat
The only choice more populous than the Badger, the Muskrat is adored by many across Vasylonia. Due to their semi-aquatic nature, they were able to adapt to the volcanic landscape, and there are at least 19,000 still on the island. There are at least two native species of Muskrat in Vasylonia, the Pygmy and the Red-Haired.
3. Manatee
The only of the choices to be spared from volcanic fury, manatees live in small colonies all around Vasylonia, especially between the two Vasylonian islands. They were first recorded in the area around 3000 years ago. According to recent surveys, at least 2000 manatees have made their homes in our waters.
4. Giant Panda
The Giant Vasylonian Panda has suffered a decline in recent years. There were once as many as 1000 on the island, but due to the coming of humans and the recent volcanic eruption, their population is currently estimated at 100, 7 of which in captivity.
